Just remember we are here for you……we are here to serve……..not to be served. We have been praying for Gwen for months..Thanks for the update Gwen……I love it when folks keep us posted. Many of you have told me the same……as you pray for all the needs here…….
Hey Dewey,
I just thought you might like an update of what’s been happening in my life. I had asked for physical and emotional prayers over the last year. My life has been restored to me. I’m OK physically now, and my depression/anxiety is much better. I now look forward to the future, where before I dreaded it. I’m volunteering at Meals on Wheels a couple days a week, and my husband and I are taking over the running of our food pantry at First Baptist of Rio Rancho. We’ve seen the Lord’s hand in creating beauty from ashes. The food pantry has opportunity to grow, and with the Lord’s help, it will. I’m just so thankful to be a part of His wonderful works.
Bless you and thanks for all your prayers,
Gwen

Your brother in Christ,

This is what Manny was commenting on……..May God Bless you as you read this and pray over it………
Dear KKIM Family,
As I laid in bed last night I felt this blanket of peace and confidence over me….My mind is consumed in the Lord….my heart and soul the same……… It is such a blessing to be filled with the Lord from your head to your feet. It gives you a calmness, an awareness as to what the Lord wants you to do. The Holy Spirit is the Messenger, making you aware of everything the Lord wants you to know. There is nothing like this…….Sharon and I, the Kids, and the Ministry have challenges……but we have the Lord with us. This does not mean that our lives will not have moments of suffering or challenge. Suffering will always be part of life. What it does mean is that the degree to which you walk with God will determine the degree of everything you experience in life.
Through your walk with God, you will keep perspective. Through your walk, you will eventually know where the Lord is leading you. Through your walk, you will have the power to endure the challenges of life. Through your walk, you will gain insight and wisdom for decision making. Through your walk, you can live above the temptations of money, adultery, drugs, fraud..the temptations and ethical challenges of this culture. Through your walk, you will be able to win over the flaming missiles that are hurled everyday by Satan.
The temptation of sin is greater than ever in this society. That is the TRUTH!
Sandy passes along this sweet, touching note………
Dewey:
Whitney Hill is a dear friend of mine whose dad went to be with the Lord on New Year’s Eve. Here is her email to her friends:
On New Year’s Eve at 8:40 Kelly Lodge went home to see Jesus. As many of you know he got sick about a month ago with, what they think was a kidney infection. This caused an infection in his blood that then caused blood clotting. The blood clots in is brain got very bad and we were sent to Phoenix last Saturday. They tried different procedures, but nothing really worked and the doctors told us that they didn’t think he had much brain function left. So we decided that he would not want to be like this and decided to withdraw care.
My mom, sisters, brother-in-law Beau, and I were in the room with him. It was an agonizing, amazing and surreal time. We all prayed and thanked God for this wonderful man and all that he has meant to us over the years. We sang songs and shared thoughts. It really was a special time, and God gave us a peace that we still don’t understand. In that moment you saw everything my dad had work his life for…family and faith. Nothing meant more to him in life. He always put his family first and didn’t blink an eye. Whether it was a movie his girls wanted or new pair a shoes for a dance, a special Christmas present, or just a phone call he took care of it because that was his job he would say, he was the dad and he loved every minute of it.
Even in his silence (he was in a medical coma towards the end) he was still touching lives. We had nurses and doctors and chaplains telling us that there is just something special about him and that they felt a very special connection with him. Well, we knew what it was, it was his faith in Jesus Christ and even in his silence this was evident. People were able to see who dad was through our strength that even we didn’t understand at that moment but, that is how he raised us.
So my wish for you this New Year is that you remember what is important in life. Get your faith right with Jesus if that is something you need to do, accept Him as your savior and know, beyond a shadow of a doubt that He has a place prepared for you – my dad did. And love your family everyday, tell them everyday and show them in the little things you do. Rejoice in the little annoying things they do, because one day they will be gone, and trust me, you will miss them. Remember that family is the most important thing in life – my dad did. Have faith that Jesus will prevail, even if it doesn’t seem like it at first He will and, He will receive the glory – my dad did. So, as Paul Harvey would say ( my dad loved him), and now for the rest of the story, well we are the rest of my dad’s story. He lives on in us through the lessons he taught us and the faith he instilled in us. What’s the rest of your story?
Thank you for your prayers and thoughts, we will still need them in the coming months.
Please pray for my mom, she is a tough cookie, but she will need strength.
Love,
Whitney and Family
Thank you all for being part of the KKIM/CUP family…….we love you all!
Let us pray………..
Lord, We come to you with all these Praise reports and needs……..you know them before us…….Lord……..We just PRAISE YOU our ALMIGHTY FATHER! In the name of Jesus, AMEN!

Abba, Father,
You know that Your servant, Sharon, is very sick. You know too, that in just a few days, she and Dewey will travel to her father’s memorial service.
We ask that You provide deep rest for recovery of every part of her body. Thank You for medications to combat the infection. May she drink and eat what is necessary to restore strength and facilitate recovery. Thank You for healing coursing through her now.
Thank You that Your Holy Spirit has already interceded and continues to intercede for her restoration and recovery!
Amen, Amen!
Last night we had an AWESOME service at Los Lunas Church of God………God was really moving in peoples lives last night..I had my message all planned out but I gave it all to the Lord and he took it in a different direction.
We have got to remember to let go…..and let God take control………but that only can happen when you have a close walk with Jesus Christ.
It is the Highest of Highs to feel the Lord moving in your life and guiding you on what to do and say.
Let your concerns Today be about cultivating a calm and quiet soul as you trust our Heavenly Father with the profound matters of life.
Increase your walk with Jesus Today….spend at least an hour with Him today….pray every second of the day……..Talk to Him….Listen to Him through out your day.

Oh Dewey, through tears I am replying to this ‘Cup’ of Pure Joy. What a wonderful story of the little Fireman!! I Thank Our Lord for blessing us with such things. As I have said before, it is not just you that is blessed when you listen and do what the Lord puts on your heart to do. It is all who hears, sees, and even listens about it after the fact, as I this beautiful morning. I’m all fogged in here in the Fruit-basket of the world, Central Calif, but it is a Glorious Day as the Lord has Tremendously Blessed my Heart through the ‘Cup’ sent by His Servant!! God’s Peace to You and All, sam
p.s. I sure hope I will be visiting you and Sharon soon Dewey, if you can take a moment out of your trip to stop by. Plus we just have to visit Nicole also, she just emailed me that you were on your way to Ca. I sure hope you can plan a time, then Nicole and I can meet with you. May God Bless your entire trip. May He be so close, you can feel His breath.
Good morning Dewey Sharon and all,
What a nice way to start out 2010 and what a great cup you have shared with us today. I have not been in contact with you for so long as I thought I was so “busy” that I just didn’t have time to read your cups. What I found is that the Lord made time to teach and show me that Yes I must read your morning cup and keep up on a daily basis with your words and what others have to say.
At work there are so many people in trouble with sickness, financial, emotional and all the above. I always tell them I will send them to your site Dewey and add them to your prayer list. How can I do that when I’m not ever reading, Your always in the back of my mind and the Lord is always in my heart showing me signs and leading me back to His word. Praise him for that.
I do want to add a women by the name of Renee who has lung cancer and was misdiagnosed for 2 years until a month ago. She needs our prayers as so many people do. I have to get my list from my locker at work. How selfish of me to put it away when they need our prayers. I’m back up and running and will make 2010 such a positive year in the word of the Lord.
Hope your all well and God Bless you,
Nicole M.
Hi Dewey,
I truly believe the Lord is with us in everything we do. This story touched my heart so much, my sobs wouldn’t stop for a while. This holiday has been a sad one for me. I had many offers to go to but decided it would be better for me to stay home and be in prayer. Your story was the story that I needed to hear. It brought out all the tears I seemed to have been holding in without knowing. I will pass on that story to everyone I can think of along with your message.
God bless you and Sharon. You truly allow God to use you and for that I am very thankful. The friend of mine went through major surgery a couple of weeks ago in Denver and is now recuperating. So many days, I sent him love and prayer and didn’t hear back, but in my soul, I knew God wanted me to send it without reservation and without asking for anything in return. There were days I argued with God because I didn’t understand why he wanted me to send messages when I wasn’t hearing from him. The last message I got from my friend – it looks like the doctors removed all the cancer and now he is feeling better. He thanks me for praying and helping him with hope. Praise God and how he loves each of us through each of us.
I love you as a brother. Thank you for loving me as a sister. It is like God took my brother from us and give me a brother. I still miss him so much. But, I know I can always come to you if I need to feel God’s love. Thank you.
Patty
Thank you for all your emails!!! Love to you all!

Lord, We love to spend time with YOU………We adore You Father! We pray that we all grow closer to You that we feel Your breathe……in the name of Jesus, AMEN!
