Dear KKIM/KARS Family,
May the Strength, Peace and Wisdom of our Lord be with you and yours forever and ever.
I love what Pastor David Ring reminded us of yesterday in the CUP………take 50% of our time to Listen to God!
I am finding out that the more I listen the better work’s I can do for the LORD!
I pray on everything…….about everything……..
I had such an AEWSOME blessing this morning speaking at Cross of Hope Lutheran Church’s National Day of Prayer. My thanks to Coordinator of the event, Kay Hendrickson and Pastor Bauer.
Speakers included in the event were:
Albuquerque Mayor Richard Berry , Pastor/Alby Councilor Dan Lewis, State Senator Sander Rue, School Principal Sharon Halstead.
I was so thankful for Mayor Berry’s presentation that He prays everyday and asks the Lord for guidance in his life…..Pastor/Councilor Dan Lewis talked about how important prayer is and how prayer was part of the Founding Father’s and Dan also asked for prayer for the City. Sen. Rue talked also talked about God being at the helm of our Country when it was founded. Principal Halstead prayed for our Children and schools.
I talked about being from Minnesota and where is the Lutifisk!!!! I also was baptized and confirmed in the American Lutheran Church in Windom, Minnesota. Cross of Hope still has that good ol’ fashion Lutheran Godly Biblical principals.
My message started out with this verse……….
Psalm 69:1-3
Save me, God,
for the water has risen to my neck.
I have sunk in deep mud, and there is
no footing;
I have come into deep waters,
and a flood sweeps over me.
I am weary from my crying;
my throat is parched.
My eyes fail, looking for my God.
Wow, kind’a reminds me of the United States of America………this is where we are at!
Last night at our Church we had Bishop Salamat Khokhar from Pakistan preach to us……
His message was,America what have you done with God? You are no longer a Christian nation. Your last two Presidents have stated so. I see what’s going on in your Country……..and sadly you are not a Christian nation anymore…..I do not hate you..I love you……I thank your Ancestors for all the wonderful things they did for the World!!! God now has sent me here to America for the last 9 years to help save you! To bring God back into America! I now live in Texas…….my family is still in Pakistan.
If that is not a wake up call for us all…What will it take?
The scripture I share with you this morning (Psalm 69:1-4) is right on today April 6, 2010….The National Day of Prayer…
The signing of the Declaration of the Independence in 1776 is our nations’ birth certificate, the Declaration proclaims that our rights come from God. PERIOD What God has given, Nobody can take away………NOBODY!
I want to tell you a little known story……..
At St Paul’s Chapel in New York City on April 30th 1789 just after being sworn in on the BIBLE, President George Washington and other leaders of our Country took part in a 2 hour worship service, consecrating our new Nation to GOD!
President Washington worshipped there weekly for 2 years while NYC served as our Nations Capital.
The Church, St. Paul’s Chapel survived the attacks of Sept. 11th, 2001.
If you saw a picture today of St. Paul’s Chapel….the open sky behind the Church is where the World Trade Center Towers stood..but this Church still stands today…….
It became a focal point for 9/11 rescue operations, for 8 months, hundred’s of volunteers worked 12 hour shifts, serving meals, making beds, counseling and PRAYING…….PRAYING.in this Church where President Washington and others consecrated our nation to God in 1789.
There is an interactive exhibit at the Church…..called, “Unwavering Spirit: Hope and Healing at Ground Zero………and to think that in many ways we…….America are at ground Zero now……..
God is all……….God is all………..We must return to God……..Just think we have Missionaries and Evangelists coming over from across the sea to save us!
We are at ground Zero…….in our Faith in God………less than 7% of Evangelicals and Protestants in New Mexico go to Church on Sundays!
Our Country is divided…….We are at a Crucial time……….President Lincoln during the Civil War called our Nation to Prayer and Fasting many times.
We are as close to a Civil War in this Country than ever before………..and I am not overstating this……..God has given me these words………..
We must be careful on issues of Immigration, which we have made a mess of…….Please Pray for our leaders on this and Mayor Berry.
God does not want walls……HE wants us all to come together for HIM!
Lincoln said this to a gathering of Presbyterian Clergy………..
I was early brought to a living reflection that nothing in my power whatever…….would succeed without the direct assistance of the Almighty……..I have often wished that I was a more devout man than I am (have not we all?)
Never the less…amid the greatest difficulties of my administration, when I could not see any other resort, I would place my whole reliance on God.
WOW AMEN!
Lincoln would pray……….and then leave it with God………and then lead Our Country!
Finally these words again from Lincoln when he served as President………
He spoke of American Sin of Self-Sufficiency………
“Intoxicated with unbroken successes, we have become too self-sufficient to feel the necessity of redeeming and preserving grace, too proud to pray to the God that made us.”
That is America Today………..
My prayer today is that the Revival that started in Santa Fe in Oct of 2008 will continue to blow across this land and bring God To many!
I thank the many folks who came up to me afterwards to thank me for my words………For God’s Glory Alone……God gave me the words……..
One lady said, “I never thought I would hear the words you spoke ever in a Church…Thank you so much for your words…….”
That touched me greatly!
Proverbs 16:24 Kind words are like honey———-sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.
God gave me the words….he always does….for God’s Glory Alone.
I shared with the folks that the Holy Spirit moves……..gives us what we need to say.
Bishop Salamat Khokhar will be at the Los Lunas Church of God again tonight…..See below more information after the following message that Pastor Leonard sent in……..Bishop Khokhar was such a HUGE BLESSING last night……..His Message helped propel me into today’s National Day of Prayer message!
Billy Graham’s Prayer For Our Nation
THIS MAN SURE HAS A GOOD VIEW OF WHAT’S HAPPENING TO OUR COUNTRY!
‘Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, ‘Woe to those who call evil good,’ but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery. We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.. We have killed our unborn and called it choice. We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable. We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem. We have abused power and called it politics.. We have coveted our neighbor’s possessions and called it ambition. We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression. We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment. Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and Set us free. Amen!’
Commentator Paul Harvey aired this prayer on his radio program, ‘The Rest of the Story,’ and received a larger response to this program than any other he has ever aired. With the Lord’s help, may this prayer sweep over our nation and wholeheartedly become our desire so that we again can be called ‘One nation under God..’
Thank you for sending that in Pastor Leonard.
here is a message from Pastor Jim Montoya……..
Greetings and Blessings to All in the Name of Our Lord Jesus:
Last night we had a tremendous service and move of the Holy Spirit at Wednesday night service.
Our Special Guest Bishop Shalamat Khokhar shared his powerful testimony and then ministered upon the whole congregations. We had many testified of feeling like a feather as they were slain in the Spirit. Many testified of being healed, deliver of habits and feeling the peace and power of God.
Bishop Khokhar is from Pakistan and is here only a few days and has agreed to come tonight (Thursday) if more people would come and invite others.
Our many guests included Pakistani families from Albuquerque and many from the nearby community that had Brother Khokhar on Channel 11 KCHF and KKIM/KARS Radio.
Come and invite others. ( 7 pm Thursday Night)
Blessings.
