Prayer…
Prayer is the essence of the Spiritual life without which all ministry loses its meaning. It is the fulfillment of the great commandment to love the Lord with all our heart, all our soul and all our mind…..To pray is to unite ourselves with Jesus and lift up the whole world through Him to God in a cry of forgiveness, reconciliation, healing, and mercy….Most of all, prayer is the way to become and remain part of Jesus mission to draw all people to the intimacy of God’s love.” by Henri Nouwen, The Only Necessary Thing: Living a Prayerful Life
On Tuesday, Sept. 28th Scott was sent to Phoenix from Albuquerque NM Hospital. Doctors dont know if it may be a brain tumor on his brain stem, MS, or lymphoma.
About 6 months ago Scott began to notice problems with one eye, and falling which was only the beginning of his problems.Scott is now unable to speak well, walk, eat or drink liquids. Please pray the Lord will administer a healing touch to Scott and his family. Pray that protection be placed upon him and that this new trip to Phoenix to a new hospital will provide a clear view of hope. Please ask the lord that all angels be placed around him with outstretched arms to comfort and heal him. That God Provide strength and determination and safety to Scotts wife Marcie, who is so consumed in doing all she can to juggle everything to keep Scott focused on his health.Scotts 11 year old son Steven is also praying and is down about his dads sudden health problems. Let us all share this to others that we can have faith that God can answer our prayers whatever His will may be.
“This is the confidence we have in approaching God: That if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us-whatever we ask-we know that we have what we asked of him.” – 1 John 5:14-15
Is your heart heavy over a sick friend or family member? Do you wish there were something you could do to help? You can take your friend or family member to the Lord in prayer. Here is a Bible verse and a prayer to help you ask God for healing.
“And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.”
