Dear KKIM/KARS Family,
PRAISE GOD!
We had such a wonderful Christmas, all 10 of us gathered at the Moede Ranch!!! PRAISE GOD! The Holy Spirit was with us!!
I received the best Christmas present ever…………Love from my Wife and Children…………and doggies!!! LOL!
I share this with you guys………and when you read the segment today on leadership……..pay attention……..We men must take care of our families and be leaders………..
Sharon wrote in her Christmas card to me, “I love you more and more each year. Thank you for being who you are, Your the best present I could ever get.” I share this because this should be the goal of every Husband. I said right back to Sharon and the same to you, I feel the same! We are to spread the good news of Jesus Christ and part of my good news is to husbands treat your wives in a Godly way! God will reward you with a covering of your marriage and family. I BOAST in the Good News of Jesus Christ!!!
You will have peace when you give yourself to God……stop boxing with him! Your arms are to short!!!!!
My friends, when confronted with a problem at home, work, in your Church, or with your husband or wife……look at the root of the problem……not to the surface. God will give you the discernment to look at the real problem. God given discernment is so wonderful it brings peace to our world. Discernment comes with a personal relationship with our Lord.
Today we are going to go deep……………
To much preaching and talking does not go deep enough……….
The doctrine of 2010 seems to be of instant satisfaction……will that continue into 2011?
We must move beyond surface living into the depths of God and His Word.
The desperate need today is not a greater number of intelligent people, but for deep people!
John Woolman says, “It is good for thee to dwell deep, that thou mayest feel and understand the spirits of people.”
That’s is the theme of this CUP and for the coming year……Lord Willing………
Yesterday in Sunday School our Leader Wanell taught on Jehoiada: Exerting Godly Influence. We are to influence others toward Godly living. Excellent lesson from Wanell. We need Gold leaders……..Chuck Swindoll writes, “Our world is desperately in need of models worth following. Authentic heroes. People of integrity, whose lives inspire us to do better, to climb higher, and stand taller!!!!!!!!! I say a whole bunch of AMEN’s to that!!!!!
I had no idea what Wanell’s message was until I got to Church yesterday………I delivered a message before Pastor Jim (Jim’s message was on looking at the past year and looking ahead to 2011) and I talked on running the race and leadership!!!!!
Many now that Christmas is over are saying, “Oh, we made it one more year!”..or…..”Boy am I glad that is over!”…….or I don’t think I can make it one more year.” “I can’t stand to go to Uncle Zach’s anymore.” “it’s going to be hard to get through 2011.”
Let us turn to Hebrews 12: 1-2
Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the same, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. AMEN!
We must run 2011 with Jesus by our side, not by ourselves, we must bring others to Christ so they are not weighted down to hell.
So let us now turn to Psalm 78:72
So he shepherded them according to the integrity of his heart, And guided them by the skillfulness of his hands.
David’s leadership succeeded through a two-sided coin: his hands and his heart, or outward skill and inward integrity. Every great spiritual leader must have this combination.
John Maxwell lists 11 keys to excellence, aimed at helping us to develop our leadership skills today. We are all leaders!
LEADERS MUST: I will list the order Maxwell has in them and add my comments.
1. Value excellence. Way too many of us are satisfied of less……we give into the world and do what is passable, the 2010 version of excellence or what the world calls excellence.
2. Not settle for average. see above….we give in..tired of the fight.
3. Pay attention to detail. WOW! We see what happens in our homes, Church’s, businesses, Government, when we do not pay attention to the details. People do not even read legislation anymore! Or look at all the millions of dollars of taxpayer money that was spent on the PITT (That is the UNM Basketball arena here in New Mexico, I say this because we have a huge amount of readers now from out of state) The Fire Marshall is going to shut it down if they do not make corrections to the many flaws they have in this White Elephant that many of us paid for. I don’t know if some of the Legislator’s in the state of New Mexico can even read since they graduated from a failed School system! (Partly kidding, but only partly!! LOL LOL!)
4. Remain committed to what really matters. Don’t get side tracked with all the bullets, scud missiles coming your way, stay focused on the end result. This is where many give up because of all the other challenges that come your way when trying to solve just one problem!
5. Display integrity and sound ethics. ENOUGH SAID!
6. Show genuine respect for others. Okay, sorry about they can’t read comment! LOL!
7. Go the second mile. Maxwell uses that term, we used back home, Go the extra mile! WOW! I give all those who go that extra mile a HIGH FIVE, when I get great service, people going out of their way, I really show them a lotta love!
8. Demonstrate consistency. When we are consistent, things around us become more and more consistent. Teach it, demonstrate it!
9. This may be my favorite!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never stop improving! I love this because I read my Bible everyday..seek the Lord’s Will, study God’s Word, Read many Godly books…….Billy Graham’s wife, Ruth, had this put on her headstone: Construction Complete..or something like that……..we are under construction until the Lord call’s us home. try and learn something everyday!
10. Always give 100%!!! Read Hebrews 12: 1-2 again……..
11. Make excellence a lifestyle. I say make Godly excellence a lifestyle!!!
“The greatest single cause of atheism in the world today are Christians who acknowledge Jesus with their lips and walk out the door and deny Him by their lifestyle, that is what an unbelieving world simply finds unbelievable.” This quote is by Brennan Manning.
So we Christians can be full of the wind, but unless we apply God’s Word to our daily life, are testimony is no good.
I would encourage all of you to get John Maxwell’s leadership Bible. I thank Rick Griffin, one of my mentor’s, for introducing it to me years ago!
I might add, that you need Godly mentor’s around you to help guide you through this life. If not, you will fall. Life on this earth is hard enough with Godly mentor’s!
What we are finding here at the CUP is that it is being circulated around the world, one lady even states that she translates it to her native language and then sends it off……..Eric and Chris are not passing it along to a family member. When you look at that only 10 to 15% of America goes to Church on Sundays, the CUP, KKIM/KARS are a vital part of carrying out the Great Commission.
Shalom Dewey & Sharon,
We thank our G-d for every remembrance of you and the KKIM Ranch Crew. Whenever we pray for all of you we always pray with joy, because you have shared in proclaiming the Good News from the very first day until now. And we are sure of this: that the One who began a good work among you will keep it growing until it is completed on the Day of the Messiah Yeshua. Philippians 1
Chris has been forwarding the “Cup” to family. Eric spoke to his sister in Medford, OR, last night. He asked for her thoughts on the “Cup”. She said she enjoys it. He asked if she passes it on to her pastor. She said no. Eric suggested that she pass it on so that he can enjoy it.
Love and Hugs,
Eric and Chris
Our prayer for you this day and all days….is to have Christ in your heart!
In the Love of Christ, Dewey Sharon and Family
