(Santa Fe, NM) — New Mexico has joined the growing fight over union
rights. Hundreds of demonstrators met at the roundhouse in Santa Fe
yesterday to protest a new bill that would limit the collective
bargaining rights of state workers. The bill is similar to bills
being considered in Wisconsin, Ohio and Indiana.
(Albuquerque, NM) — Only 13-percent of Albuquerque eighth-graders
are proficient in standard math. Albuquerque Public School officials
say only 13-percent of their eighth-grade students passed last month’s
math benchmark assessments. Teachers are urging parents to get
tutoring for students who are struggling. They add that students who
aren’t proficient in math at the eighth-grade level will have serious
difficulty passing their high school graduation math exam.
I have kind of an odd request: Is there anyone out there who might be interested in an online discussion with me on the book by Foster on Celebration of Discipline? I just think that it would be more fulfilling if I could go through it with someone rather than by myself. If there is someone, please feel free to give them my email address: james.hofflander@gmail.com. Be sure to put the words “online discussion” on the Subject line so I don’t delete it. Thanks. I’ll leave it to your discretion and if the Lord leads you to do this. Thanks again Dewey,
Jim
