Dear Family of Jesus,
Thank you for stopping by for a CUP!
In the presence of God,
In defiance of Satan,
Jesus Christ rises to your defense!
See to it that no one misses the grace of God. Hebrews 12:15
Saturday after Bible study at the Upper Room (I will be preaching there this Sunday 10am 5505 Lomas call 255-4043 for more info) We have a full staff of volunteers at this office during the week. Anyhow on the way home I stopped to see Kevin at Bibles Plus and got Max Lucado’s newest book, GRACE! AWESOME!
When grace happens, we receive not a nice compliment from God but a new heart. Give your heart to Jesus Christ, and He returns the favor. “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you” Ezek 36:26
You might call it a heart transplant!
As Paul said, “It is not longer I who live, but Christ lives in me” Gal 2:20. The apostle sensed within himself not just the philosophy, ideals, or influence of Jesus Christ but the person of Jesus. Christ moved in. He still does. When that happens, Christ enters. “Christ in you, the hope of Glory” Col. 1:27
Grace hugged the stink out of the prodigal and scared the hate out of Paul and pledges to do the same in us! AMEN!
Your Free to go…..they took Jesus instead of you!
Let us step out of Today’s News and bring the World the Good News of Jesus Christ! AMEN!
Praise Report………

We have this update on Baby Eden from her Dad, Andrew Abeyta, the son of JR and Jeanell Abeyta…let us pray………..
Hey everyone I just wanted to tell you thanks for all your help and prayers. Eden is doing great; she has passed the 1st phase of recovery. (1 out of 2) We now need all your prayers this week because they are going to start to feed her. The doctor said, "it may be months before her intestines start working if at all." Please pray for Eden and her bowels to adjust to the eating habits so that she can come home sooner! Please feel free to forward this email to anyone who is still praying for us and Eden. Thanks.
Let us pray over Baby Eden for the healing of her body! Thank you for your prayers.
Let us continue to pray for Sam as she recovers from her neck surgery.
Please pray for Vietnam Vet's Pete and Richard !!!
Something very positive has swept over us. Hallelujah to the King of Kings – Jesus. The pall of gloom and disturbing uncertainty has lifted, chased by a fresh wind of the Spirit. Finding and following Jesus is the certainty of direction you need. Welcome and speak with the Holy Spirit about this. He alone makes sure all glory and power goes to our Lord for situations in which we find ourselves. Jesus sent Holy Spirit as our Helper and said He would be just like Jesus, assuring us that we would never be alone. Implore the Spirit, strongly invite His presence. He changes everything and gives clear direction. Conduct your life being led by the Holy Spirit. Be a Spirit-led disciple.
Romans 8:14 (NLT) “For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.” Ras Robinson

Life’s Greatest Investment
Read | Acts 26:13-18
What is the most worthwhile investment a person can make in life? Is it a great stock that produces enormous dividends? Or a satisfying, lucrative career? For some, family might be the answer, while others might choose giving time and treasure to the church. All of these things are good, but the Lord showed Paul what He considered to be the best use of our lives: Helping someone come to a saving knowledge of Christ is the greatest achievement possible.
When you become an instrument in God’s hands as He transfers someone from the realm of darkness into the kingdom of His Son, you make a difference in the person’s eternal destiny. Not only that, but Satan also receives a devastating blow. Just imagine the defeat he suffered when Paul turned to Jesus. The same holds true for any new believer: All the Devil’s plans for that individual are thwarted. As a person begins to live in God’s will, there’s no telling what the Lord will do in and through him.
Furthermore, whenever you introduce someone to the Savior, you’re carrying out the work of the church. Jesus told His followers to make disciples of all nations (Matt. 28:19). This gigantic task is accomplished one person at a time, as we each do our part to share the gospel.
God’s plan for enlarging His kingdom is so simple–one person telling another about the Savior. Yet we’re busy and full of excuses. Just remember, someone’s eternal destiny is at stake. The joy you’ll have when you meet that person in heaven will far exceed any discomfort you felt in sharing the gospel.

Just a note to say thanks for the daily cup, and share this one with you Dewey.
Someone has written these beautiful words. Must read and try to understand the deep meaning of it. They are like the ten commandments to follow in life all the time. 1. Prayer is not a “spare wheel” that you pull out when in trouble, but it is a “steering wheel” that directs the right path throughout. 2. A Car’s WINDSHIELD is so large & the Rear view Mirror is so small? Because our PAST is not as important as our FUTURE. So, Look Ahead and Move on. 3. Friendship is like a BOOK. It takes a few seconds to burn, but it takes years to write. 4. All things in life are temporary. If going well, enjoy it, they will not last forever. If going wrong, don’t worry, they can’t last long either. 5. Old Friends are Gold! New Friends are Diamond! If you get a Diamond, don’t forget the Gold! Because to hold a Diamond, you always need a Base of Gold! 6. Often when we lose hope and think this is the end, GOD smiles from above and says, “Relax, sweetheart, it’s just a bend, not the end! 7. When GOD solves your problems, you have faith in HIS abilities; when GOD doesn’t solve your problems HE has faith in your abilities. 8. A blind person asked St. Anthony: “Can there be anything worse than losing eye sight?” He replied: “Yes, losing your vision!” 9. When you pray for others, God listens to you and blesses them, and sometimes, when you are safe and happy, remember that someone has prayed for you. 10. WORRYING does not take away tomorrow’s TROUBLES, it takes away today’s PEACE. If you really enjoyed this, please pass to others. It may brighten someone’s day. |
LIFE IS LIKE A COIN, YOU CAN CHOOSE TO SPEND IT ANYWAY YOU WISH, BUT YOU CAN ONLY SPEND IT ONCE.
“The Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace” (Numbers 6:24-25).

September 3, 2012. Basic disciplines anchored in biblical principles should guide your life. No olympic gold medalist ever attained to greatness without discipline and hard work. King David was a medalist in many areas of his life as a: worshipper, warrior, ruler and friend of God. His morning discipline was to cry out to God in prayer and eagerly watch. He watched and listened when he prayed, believing God heard him and would respond. The hand of God’s favor enshrouded him all the days of his life. My mother, being my daily example, I learned as a young teenager to read as she read and pray as she prayed. Like David, she influenced generations in her disciplines. I taught my two children the same. The Lord says, “Do the good things of your heritage. It is never too late.” Psalm 5:3 (NASB) “In the morning, O LORD, You will hear my voice; In the morning I will order my prayer to You and eagerly watch.” Ras Robinson Subscribe to “What the Lord Is Saying Today” September 3, 2012. My husband Ras loves as much as anyone I know. He first loves God and then he loves me and our family. His eyes twinkle and his smile broadens when children and young people are mentioned. He loves older people and those in between. A leader in the body of Christ once dubbed him as an apostle of love. “Can it be said of you that you are a lover of My people and those who are lost? Have you forgiven those who hurt you and do you continue to forgive? This is what I want you to work on the most. My Scripture says love is the royal Law.” James 2:8 (AMP) “If indeed you [really] fulfill the royal Law in accordance with the Scripture, You shall love your neighbor as [you love] yourself, you do well.” Bev Robinson Scroll down to see “Photo of the Day” from our ministry to children in the Philippines. September 3, 2012. My parents know the value of immersing themselves in the Bible daily. When I was young, each morning I awoke to find them independently submerged in His word. Their actions spoke louder than words ever could. Yesterday, while I was out in the middle of a field in southwest Texas, He brought to mind those things I was taught. Though I’ve often read a Psalm and Proverb according to the day of the month for over 40 years, they still speak something fresh to me. The Lord says, “What are you embracing? What discipline are you establishing within yourself today? Though it is not law, search for Me and find Me wherever you are.” Psalm 2:11-12 (NKJV) “Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish in the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little.Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.” Kevin Robinson
