Thanks for stopping by for a CUP! We love it when we hear from you!
“What shall I do, then, with Jesus who is called the Christ?” Matthew 27:22
That is the most important question that has ever been asked. It is also the question you, my friend, must ask yourself.——Billy Graham
Yesterday and I talks with two of my mentor’s……..Pastor Larry Moss and Shauna Rampley of the Soaring Eagle Institute. I encourage you to surround yourself with Godly mentor’s.
What you see and What you Hear and read…you become. What are you watching? What are you hearing? What are you reading?
Shauna’s message yesterday to me can be best summed up by what The Whisper Of God shared this morning……
Thought for the Day
“Sometimes the anxiety we create for ourselves is worse than the problem we worry about. We are told to cast our anxieties on God because He cares for us. Do this in thoughtful prayer and then bravely face what is worrying you. Be empowered through Him! His guidance will help you resolve any concerns that lie before you.”

Today’s Word
““So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need. “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” (Matthew 6:31-34 NIV)

Larry Moss who has been with me since my start at KKIM was sharing with me that he has been listening to me on the internet from his home in Kentucky. he said, “God wants you out sharing the Word, showing your compassion.” AMEN!
The Lord then stirred my heart to share Proverbs 2 on the air last night…..All we need is God’s Word…..Billy Graham once wrote that when he was going through a most difficult time he would read into Proverbs every day.
When is the last time you read into God’s Word?
Billy wrote this………
Every word that Jesus spoke was historically true.
Every word the He spoke was scientifically true.
Every word that he spoke was ethically true.
There were no loopholes in the moral conceptions
and statements of Jesus Christ.
His ethical vision was wholly correct,
correct in the age in which He lived
and correct in every age that has followed it.
Though Jesus words were profound, they were plain. (Too many times are words are not plain)
His words were weighty (too many times are words are to light) yet they shone with a luster and simplicity of statement that staggered His enemies.
I think we as a Church say to much NOTHING NOISE!
Billy said………..
I trust Jesus with all my tomorrows,
knowing that He will solve the mystery of life beyond the grave.
“What shall I do, then, with Jesus who is called the Christ?”
This is the most important question that has ever been asked says Billy Graham.
It is also the question you must ask yourself!
We should be about our Father’s business by pouring His compassionate love into aching and parched souls that have nowhere to turn, no one to love, and no one to care. Let them see Jesus in us. That is a living testimony.
If you want to know what God is like, then take a look at Jesus Christ. AMEN!
Okay getting back to Proverbs…….Pastor Leonard says this……….
Leonard R Navarre every month I read the corresponding Psalm to the date…today, Psalm 9 then add 30, Psalm 39, 69 99, 129…then the Proverb to the date…Proverbs 9 today. That way I have read through Psalm and Proverbs once each month, twelve times a year…It’s amazing how the Palm and Proverbs teaches me so much. Sola Deo Gloria!!!
Good stuff Leonard!
I was just thinking of a Pastor friend of mine who when taking over a new Church and took some heat from some members because they said he read to much scripture in the service! UGH!
Proverbs 2 read with me please…………Let the words soak in…….I think we just read a verse here and there too much and not whole chapters…….and we don’t soak the WHOLE WORD of God into us, where it is to become all of us! YES!!
The answers are all here………..all in the Word of God……….Let us start each day in the Good Book!
My son, if you will receive my words and treasure up my commandments within you,
making your ear attentive to skillful and godly Wisdom and inclining and directing your heart and mind to understanding applying all your powers to the quest for it. Yes, if you cry out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, if you seek Wisdom as for silver and search for skillful and godly Wisdom as for hidden treasures, Then you will understand the reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of our omniscient God. For the Lord gives skillful and godly Wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding. he hides away sound and godly Wisdom and stores it for the righteous those who are upright and in right standing with Him; he is a shield to those who walk uprightly and in integrity.
That he may guard the paths of justice; yes, he preserves the way of His saints. Then you will understand righteousness, justice, and fair dealing in every area and relation; yes, you will understand every good path. For skillful and godly Wisdom shall enter your heart, and knowledge shall be pleasant to you. Discretion shall watch over you, To deliver you from the way of evil and the evil men, from men who speak perverse things and are liars. men who forsake the paths of uprightness to walk in the ways of darkness, Who rejoice to do evil and delight in the perverseness of evil, Who are crooked in their ways, wayward and devious in their paths.
Discretion shall watch over you, understanding shall keep you to deliver you from alien women, from the outsider with her flattering words, Who forsakes the husband and guide of her youth and forgets the covenant of her God. For the house sinks down to death and her paths to the spirits of the dead.
None who go to her return again, neither do they attain or regain the paths of life. So may you walk in the way of good men, and keep to the paths of the consistently righteous the upright, in right standing with God. For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the men of integrity, blameless and complete in God’s sight shall remain in it; But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the treacherous shall be rooted out of it. AMEN!
Now my prescription here is read this Chapter all week now through Sunday, this Chapter 2 of Proverbs will start to become part of you, just like the whole Word of God will. I encourage you to not just read verses in the Bible or shoot them off anytime..but dive into the Word of God,.the entire Word.
My new Dear friend John Taylor who wrote in his book, “Make my life a Bible”. says, “Religion is man’s attempt to earn their way into Heaven by following rules, rituals, and doing good deeds, working your way into Heaven. Religion has different doctrines and can be confusing because each one is different. That is why you have to base your life on the Word of God, the Holy Bible. A personal relationship with Jesus and following Him is what reserves our place in Heaven.” AMEN! AMEN!
I love John’s book, he wrote it with the help of another new Dear friend of mine, Robin White who is going to help me write my book, For God’s Glory Alone. Dear Friend Kay Hendrickson has already worked on the lay out! I thank the LORD for all my friends, Sharon and I love you all.
By the way look for John to be on the radio and TV with me soon to talk about his walk with Jesus Christ, which has led him to pray over people and watch God heal them!!! John is a prayer warrior for Jesus Christ.
