Dear Family of Jesus,
Thank you so much for stopping by for a CUP!
For the Son of man came to save (from the penalty of eternal death) that which was lost………….Matt: 18:11
Let us pray over these needs……….
Hello Dewey! Asking prayers again….this time for my friend Jean who is having open heart surgery to repair a pacemaker that has grown into places it should not be. She is a breast cancer survivor, and she has scarring that makes the surgery even more complex…but she is a woman of faith. Also for my cousin, who is going in for spine surgery to fix “leaking” fluid….thank you! PLease pray as the Lord leads you! Amy Jean Snow Shultz
We are all praying Amy for complete healing! AMEN!

We are praying for healing of all this day and all days!
Please, now, say this pray with me…………
Heavenly Father, I thank you for loving me.
I thank you for sending your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, to the world to save and to set me free.
I trust in your power and grace that sustain and restore me.
Loving Father, touch me now with your healing hands, for I believe that your will is for me to be well in mind, body, soul and spirit.
Cover me with the most precious blood of your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ from the top of my head to the soles of my feet.
Cast out anything that should not be in me.
Root out any unhealthy and abnormal cells.
Open any blocked arteries or veins and rebuild and replenish any damaged areas.
Remove all inflammation and cleanse any infection by the power of Jesus’ precious blood.
Let the fire of your healing love pass through my entire body to heal and make new any diseased areas so that my body will function the way you created it to function.
Touch also my mind and my emotion, even the deepest recesses of my heart.
Heal the hurts and pains and all the wounds that I have in my life.
Saturate my entire being with your presence, love, joy, and peace and draw me ever closer to you every moment of my life.
And Father, fill me with your Holy Spirit and empower me to do your works so that my life will bring glory and honor to your holy name.
I ask this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen

Lester Sumeral said,” the reason you don’t have great faith is because when God asked you to jump you didn’t”. God isn’t asking you put your faith in your ability, your power. It’s much easier than that He’s asking you to put your faith in HIS Strength, HIS Ability, HIS Power! So next time God says,”OK darling jump to daddy” for heaven sake, JUMP! And you’ll move from one end of faith to another.
What a great way to start the CUP! AMEN! I love what the late Preacher Thomas Jones of Albuquerque used to Preach…….. I have come to inflict the comfortable and comfort the inflicted……This fit’s today’s CUP very well……. The following lesson by Pastor Steve Hickey may make some of you say….”I can’t do that!” or, “He is talking about the impossible”.”This is not for me, I am just fine the way I am” Too many of you will read this and quickly dismiss it……..My prayer is that you will read this a dozen or more times……I think I have read this part more than 25 times! Read the Sermon on the Mount after reading this……and as a study guide get Pastor Steve’s book, Obtainable Expectations, A Timely Exposition of the Sermon on the Mount. Folks, this book is a must, it is a life changer! I share this with you in love! Let us JUMP into today’s study with Pastor Steve Hickey….. Pastor Steve refers to this scripture……If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles. Matt 5:41 I have shared that with you before…. Matt. 5:14 is not just about your lamp being lit (mile one) your lamp must be on the stand for all to see!! (mile Two)—-this is what glorifies the Father in heaven. Matt. 5:20 carries a related key to understanding the entire Sermon on the Mount; “unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees ……”Surpass” is a distance word. a grace word. It means “go further, move out beyond, exceed.” Jesus was teaching that many Christians are good for mile one but stop short of mile two. They stop short of their destiny and sadly miss out on the miraculous and the fullness of God’s unmerited favor. My sense is that good people are stuck today in this place of teetering between mile one and mile two! AMEN! AMEN! I am in agreement with Pastor Steve! OH YES! Pastor Hickey writes in his book,,,,,,The Sermon on the Mount was Jesus shove into the second mile! The following is an overview of the difference between a mile-one mentality and a mile-two mentality. Note again God’s grace only falls in the second mile. Mile One Mentality Mile Two Mentality 5:14 Our “lamp” is lit On a stand for all to see 5:20 Outward righteousness Inner righteousness 5:21 Don’t murder Anyone who is angry is a murderer 5:27 Don’t commit adultery Even looking lustfully is adultery 5:31 Divorce is easy Divorce for infidelity only 5:33 Swear by oaths Simple “yes” or “no” 5:39 Struck on one cheek Turn to him the other also 5:40 Give him your tunic Give your cloak as well 5:41 Obligated to go one mile Opportunity unleashed in mile two 5:43 Hate your enemy Love your enemy 6:2ff Giving, praying, fasting Giving, praying, fasting in secret 6:19 Treasures stored on earth Treasures stored in heaven 7:21 Do great things for God Intimacy with God—Lord, Lord Mile one encompasses all our religious activities and how we do ministry out of obligation. Mile two is about intimacy with God and serving the Lord because your love for Him overflows. Coming to the end of ourselves is a prerequisite for seeing the work of God start. AMEN! AMEN! PTL!!! |

Do you sometimes wish you could personally give a cup of warm food to a hungry child? Perhaps God would let you provide that cup of food for a hungry child even for someone else to give it. Do what you can.
September 25, 2012. A good friend shared this statement in his teaching on faith: “Say it is so, when it is not so, and it will be so, because it is so.” He believed this was how God created the earth and how Jesus called things into being in healing, salvation and deliverance. My son Kevin keeps asking me to repeat that quote to him because it fascinates and helps him so much. Quite often a reader will write and ask the question, “What do I do or what can I say to make my situation better.” My typical answer is something like, “Find out what God says about the matter and what He calls in about the situation in question. Then say what God says.” It works! Genesis 1:3-4 (NLT) “Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. Then he separated the light from the darkness.” Ras Robinson Subscribe to “What the Lord Is Saying Today” September 25, 2012. Better days are coming. Don’t overreact to what is going on right now. Now is not the time to move forward. You will not slide backward. You will hold your ground. You are doing well and doing what you need to do to stay afloat. I am with you. Keep nuzzled in right next to Me and you will make it again. Haven’t you done so before? This is not your first time to go through something like this. Remember the times you have overcome and remember when you felt My presence so near. Do that this time. Keep Me as your main focus and you will make it again. Psalms 103:17 (AMP) “But the mercy and loving-kindness of the Lord are from everlasting to everlasting upon those who reverently and worshipfully fear Him, and His righteousness is to children’s children.” Bev Robinson Scroll down to see “Photo of the Day” from our ministry to children in the Philippines. September 25, 2012. Sing! Sing songs of praise! Worship Me in song! Sing old songs, sing new songs. Sing a new song which bubbles up out of your spirit that neither you nor I have ever heard before. Spontaneous worship in intimacy honors Me. Sing joyfully. Worship Me in spirit and in truth. Your songs are music to My ears. When you worship, worship Me and only Me. Worship Me with each other and worship Me when you are alone. Let your mind remember the times when I rescued you, when I healed you, when I didn’t give what you thought you deserved. Give thanks for who I AM. Ephesians 5:18-21 (KJV) “And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.” Kevin Robinson If you have friends or family you think would like to share a daily cup of inspirational coffee with Dewey please forward this email and encourage them to join Dewey’s Daily Cup.
