Dear Family of Jesus,
My testimony to you this day is……….
Isaiah 6:8…….Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send? And who will go for us? Then I said I, Here am I; send me.
Also this: No man can blossom to his fullest for God without the support of his wife. AMEN!
Husband and wife must be knit together in our Lord! AMEN!
I know the CUP is late today…but not late in the Lord’s time. He is time, he created time. He had me wait and take phone call after phone call today and the news of loved ones……so that it would be all in the CUP today!
First of all there is a mistake in the Albuquerque Journal with the services for Martha Montano. Our Dear Martha passed onto heaven last week. Here are the correct dates and times…..The service times: Rosary Wednesday at 7pm at Holy Family Catholic Church and Funeral services at 9am Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church. The Church is located at 562 Atrisco Dr. SW in Albuquerque. Please be in prayer for the family. I have had wonderful talks with Martha’s husband Roger and sister Bernadette.
I was at the Nursing Home on Saturday and knew that Sister Ruby Wells was close to going home and now this morning comes the word from Pastor Jim Montoya……
Blessing: At 1 am Sister Ruby Wells went home! Praise the Lord! Arrangements are pending! She will be buried with her first husband in Mississippi with memorial services later in Los Lunas at the Church. She has been one of our Matriarch of our Church and her champion sweet potatoe pie. I'll send more info as I hear it. Alleluia Jim
Let us pray for Ruby's family. Sharon and I loved her very much, Ruby wore the color purple a lot
and I called her the Purple Rose! Purple is Sharon and Gretchen's favorite color also! I will
never forget the Sunday afternoon I went to Ruby's house after Church and we sat for a couple of
hours and she just shared about her family and life. It was WONDERFUL!
A man that I never had the opportunity to meet, that impacted the lives of many is Gerald Martinez who passed away this weekend. Pastor Bill Ruhl, who is Vice Chairman of FGGAM was a great friend of the Martinez family. Gerald founded Joshua’s Vineyard located in what many call the war zone of Albuquerque.
There is a video of Gerald at www.passiontoaction.org This is part of what they wrote……
Gerald Martinez and his family left the comforts of their home in the mountains of Albuquerque and went to live in what was once called the war zone of Albuquerque. In the 10 years (it’s been more than 10 years now) that they’ve been there they have seen the crime rate come down by 50%
This is what Pastor Bill Ruhl wrote on Facebook…….
“Gone are the days of longing for His gaze, my eyes are fixed on His face. I’ve entered in to where love begins, and found His amazing grace!” Love you Gerald…gonna miss your calls and spontaneous breakfast meetings.
“Friends are friends forever when the Lord’s the Lord of them…For a lifetimes not too long to live as friends!” Song on my heart today. Pastor Bill Ruhl
Let us pray for the Gerald Martinez family
As I travel, I am meeting more and more Vietnam War Vet’s in Nursing Homes, like my friend Pedro. We should be ashamed of ourselves how we have treated the Men and Women who served our Country during the Vietnam War. They were treated so badly after the war. I remember one Vet from Bakersfield, California telling me that when he was in the airport coming back from Vietnam after the war, nobody would sit by him..they would scatter. I lost my best childhood friend in that war, Roger Carey of Windom, Minn. Please be in prayer for these men and women, many now who are in Veterans homes, and nursing homes.
What the Lord has shown me with the passing of Martha, Gerald, Ruby, Roger, and all the Vietnam War Vet’s and all our soldiers…..is that THEY SERVED! My question today to all of us is this……..Are you serving God’s people? They answered the call!
I see such rapid movement in your ministry and I am awed. All I can say to God is thank you for watching over Dewey. It is almost like watching a ship being launched for the first time and not quite understanding how all those pieces came together and are growing into something beyond our vision. Yet there it is. I pray that God will keep it all going in His direction.
You are awesome
Luv u
Kay
Thank you for your prayers Kay…Kay is a Board member of FGGAM..It is all God…It is all for God….God called me and Sharon to this……..God has surrounded us with AWESOME people like yourself!!! It is a calling by God, it is not of me and Sharon. We have been called to step out in faith……..and meet people one by one……. I am seeing everyday this take place……one person at a time……..
A man just told me on the phone this weekend that while his wife was in the hospital very ill he was flipping the channel and came upon Dewey and Friends on KAZQ CH 32….he said the program inspired him and gave him hope. That is part of our Ministry at FGGAM www.fggam.org
I wrote this the other night on Facebook as I was brought to tears……….
Tonight I go to bed with tears…….hearing for so many people….we miss you on the radio…..10 year old Dom asked his grandma, “Why is Dewey not on the radio, I don’t understand” The Lord has told me I will be back on radio someday…….This is a change in seasons…It is good, it is of the Lord..It is such a blessing to hear from folks..Kind words are like honey—-sweet to the soul and healthy for the body Proverbs 16:24 Good night, God Bless
Many phone calls, emails, and Facebook……..It is a blessing to hear from many……but this is a new season now…..I have to say also many Christians can’t figure out why I did what I did…..It was and is a calling from God to step out and Preach The Word……..When God calls we must answer and leave where we are at. There is nothing more important to answer the call of God. How do you know when God is calling? YOU HEAR HIM! That is why I Preach on a personal relationship with Jesus Christ so you can hear HIM! If you have any questions just email me. We have begun our Counseling service and are helping many. For God’s Glory Alone!
Got a call this morning from my Friend Ed……How are you making it in this difficult time? Ed meant this in a good way…..concern for the family…… Friends have gathered around Sharon and I and are supporting us in our efforts for God, We are so thankful for that, this movement was and is of God…….he will not forsake us! Yes, we have to make changes in our life……It is a new season.

Whenever you think that people are really sounding smart in their worldly logic, read Job 38. It will remind you of who is really in control. Just a sample…Job 38:1-4 “Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said, Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge? Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me. Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.” (KJV)
Great cup.
I was just thinking about Martha. In the Cup you mentioned what a great lady, saint in the Lord Jesus. We must never forget that each of us is leaving a legacy. We determine which legacy we leave. The legacy will either be good or bad, faithful follower of Jesus Christ, or one of turning back. Praise God for faithful saints in our Lord. Hebrews 13:7 says, “remember those who led you, who spoke the word of God to you; and considering the result of their conduct, imitate their faith”. Praise God for their example.
Luv ya and praying for you and Sharon,
Leonard
Thank you for that Leonard, yes, what Legacy are you leaving folks?
I love this from Godvive………
The Center of the BibleQ: What is the shortest chapter in the Bible?
A: Psalms 117 Q: What is the longest chapter in the Bible? A: Psalms 119 Q: Which chapter is in the center of the Bible? A: Psalms 118 Fact: There are 594 chapters before Psalms 118 Fact: There are 594 chapters after Psalms 118 Add these numbers up and you get 1188. Q: What is the center verse in the Bible? A: Psalms 118:8 Q: Does this verse say something significant about God’s perfect will for our lives? The next time someone says they would like to find God’s perfect will for their lives and that they want to be in the center of His will, just send them to the center of His Word! Psalms 118:8 “It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.” Now isn’t that odd how this worked out (or was God in the center of it)? When things get tough, always remember… Faith doesn’t get you around trouble, it gets you through it !! Let me also share with you that the Lord has us helping people by phone calls and emails all over the World………Have you ever felt like Lorna? |
From Lorna…….
I’m 46, in a dead end job with no pension and no future. It’s a very stressful job with a boss who delights in being mean and/or irritating to people. No one at work is a Christian, so I have no support in that area. I’m burned out, worn out.
I want to change jobs, but what I’ve done all my life is just that. Change jobs. I always thought a different job in a different building would solve my problems, but it hasn’t. I’m unsatisfied and unfulfilled.
I’ve been at my current job 14 years with no ladder to climb (small company) so I’ve been at the same position for 14 years as well.
I want to do something different. I want to do what God has called me to do, what I should have been doing all these years. So instead of just sending out my resume to where ever, I’ve been praying He direct me and tell me where to apply or for what job I should be searching. I’ve been asking Him to open the right door and close all the wrong ones.
The only answer I’ve received so far is writing, but writing isn’t paying the bills. If writing is the answer, shouldn’t I be making a living at that? If it isn’t the answer, why can’t I hear what the answer is? I have no idea what job I want to do, I just know I *don’t* want retail, or sales, or food service, or any other job I’ve already done. I want a new life, a new start. I would be grateful if He would “do a new thing” in me (Isaiah 43:19.)
I’d appreciate your input. *Please note, today is monthly fellowship at church where we have a potluck meal and fellowship after the service, so I will be gone most of the day and unable to respond until later this evening.
Now, I’m 46, in a dead end job with no pension and no future
I have been where you are at….it is a place that is not happy!
From Dewey….part of my reply
First let us visit Eph 1:7
In Him we have redemption (deliverance and salvation) through His blood, the remission (forgiveness) of our offenses (shortcomings and trespasses) in accordance with the riches and the generosity of His gracious favor.
That is a scripture that is on my heart.God can deliver you from anything.
We get wore down by this world.
I am not one to give quick answers and say goodbye!!!
I want to encourage you to Read Paul’s letters, also into Proverbs…..
Let the words soak into your heart, mind and soul…….God’s Word’s are alive this day as always
be in constant prayer..I know that through reading His Word and praying specifically what you wrote me, God will answer you, the Holy Spirit will let you know.
But be of clear mind…..your letter shows me you are tired, very tired, I have been there, I just left a journey like that and now have entered non-paid ministry …… see www.fggam.org
We are here to help.
Let s pray over this need!
September is hunger awareness month. And a new study highlights the incredible battle New Mexicans have with hunger.
The state is actually rated among the poorest in the nation. The road runner food bank is trying to keep up with a disturbing and steady increase.
“The number of people requesting food from emergency food feeding organizations is continuing to increase,” Art Fine said.
Fine says the food bank distributes food among more than 400 programs serving the hungry.
“We think hunger is a direct result of poverty,” Fine said.
A 2011 USDA study shows 23 percent of New Mexicans are experiencing hunger. That’s up almost 10 percent from the year before. Every single week.. More than 45-thousand people are fed at organizations receiving food from road runner.
“We hear stories about families where the parents don’t eat at night so their children can food before they go to bed,” he said. “We hear stories of young children who come to school on Monday morning unable to learn because they’re in the nurses office complaining of tummy aches because they’re hungry over the weekend. Of seniors who only take their medication every other day when they’re supposed to take it everyday.”
Fine fears things will keep getting worse until the economy bounces back and more federal funding goes to nutrition programs.

“Feeding Hungry Children:” is our greatest need right now for our sponsored children and their siblings. Anything you can do would be greatly appreciated. Pray about it.
September 23, 2012. I have noticed how you love your moments and even hours with Me in prayer. You are spending more and more time pouring over My Scriptures. Your actions cause My grace toward you to come gushing forth. I take My cup of joy and fill yours to overflowing. You are enamored with the beauty of My love. It causes you to break out in spontaneous laughter. You love My house! I feed you with the most choice morsels from the table of the Lord. I have noticed your head that has been drooping in discouragement. But now it is raised high. Your eyes are looking into to Mine now. I love you. Psalm 23:5-6 (MSG) “You serve me a six-course dinner right in front of my enemies. You revive my drooping head; my cup brims with blessing. Your beauty and love chase after me every day of my life. I’m back home in the house of GOD for the rest of my life.” Ras Robinson Subscribe to “What the Lord Is Saying Today” September 23, 2012. A test is happening. Passing this will propel you into greater realms. You have had other tests in the past even when they didn’t feel like tests. Through them you are getting to know Me better There is no need to worry. I know you will pass this one also. Anytime you receive My Word, there is a test. This is a big one and in the midst of this test is another test. This will cause you to have a stronger faith. Each test thrusts you higher. I show you I am fully with you and there is no need for any fear. You are an example of My grace Proverbs 30:5 (NASB) “Every word of God is tested; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him.” Bev Robinson Scroll down to see “Photo of the Day” from our ministry to children in the Philippines. September 23, 2012. Build each other up instead of tearing one another down. You have been establishing negative patterns with your speech and your actions. Let Me be the one who does the judging, and not you. What you have called discernment is really judgment in disguise. You have become comfortable with your criticism of others who are part of My body. You act with one-sidedness, and favoritism towards those who think like you. Yet you counterfeit when you are in the presence of those you have spoken about negatively or have gossiped about to others. Search for and find positive attributes about those groups, individuals or denominations that are different from you. Romans 2:1-2 (NLT) “You may think you can condemn such people, but you are just as bad, and you have no excuse! When you say they are wicked and should be punished, you are condemning yourself, for you who judge others do these very same things. And we know that God, in his justice, will punish anyone who does such things.”Kevin Robinson
