Dear KKIM/KARS Family,
Merry Christmas and Happy New year!
My brothers, if any among you strays from the truth, and someone turns him back, he should know that whoever turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his life from death and cover a multitude of sins. James 5: 19-20
My life is worth nothing unless I use it for doing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus. Acts 20:24
That has become my life verse…….We are here for you……..
I think my biggest gift this year was me baptizing my brother Daryl in the Black River in La Crosse, Wisconsin and being led to that site by friend Paul Dokken..all thru the LORD! Daryl is doing fine! And getting to see Uncle Joe on that trip who turns 95 this week!!!
I also am thankful to all of you who send words of encouragement, it keeps us going..it really does your words mean so much! Thanks to Paul Dokken for the call yesterday!
Kind words are like honey—-sweet to the soul and healthy for the body. Proverbs 16:24
Your words, My friends, mean more to me than coin………
Here is another Christmas Miracle……we sure have seen many! PRAISE GOD, For God’s Glory Alone! We have this note from Doug who we have been praying healing of his heart……..Just returned from Cleveland Clinic!
Merry Christmas, my friend! The last 2.5 months have been a blur and I have wanted to call you often. My procedure went well. Thanks for your prayers. We will now wait on the Lord to see if now is the timing of the miracle we have been trusting Him for. The full success of the procedure will not be known for 8 – 12 weeks. I look forward to giving you a call after the New Year to catch up on all that has transpired since October. May God continue to give you a voice on behalf of the Gospel. I appreciate you!
Merry Christmas!

Also an update on 19 year old Vanessa Carrillo the Ambulance driver who was driving her emergency vehicle on I-25 near Santa Fe when it was hit head on by a wrong way driver is still in the hospital. The Family is hoping she will be out by Christmas Day! Police now say the driver that hit Vanessa head on was smoking Dope and had been drinking! Just think that wrong way car was going 125 mph!!!! Nothing good happens with liquor and dope! I still cannot get over a 19 year old driving an ambulance!I She must be one tough girl, I understand she is barley 5 feet tall and barley 100 pounds! Bless her heart!! It makes you think of all the young ones fighting in the wars! I did not know you could be that age and drive one! Let us continue to pray for Vanessa and the family of the deceased wrong way driver. The passenger in the car of the wrong way driver has been released from the hospital.
Please read today James 5: 13-16………
Our friend Ann Quest of Dallas (time To Revive Board Member) says she prays for all…….even thou she does not many if not all the folks we pray for……I hear that all the time, many of us have never met each other,(We won’t until we get to Heaven!) but we are the Body of Christ that comes together each day to pray for each other and our families. I got a call from Paul Dokken from South Dakota yesterday saying he prays everyday for all…..This is such a blessing that you all come together here at the CUP and pray……..Marilee Gibson from Phoenix same thing, she prays everyday…….all of you we Thank you so much for your prayers for all. All we for is for God’s Glory Alone!!!!!!!!
Sharon and I love you all!
Here is what I encourage to to be focused on this Christmas………
The most famous statement in the Bible is Jesus explanation of why God sent him to earth. “God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”
The entire reason for Christmas is the love of God. God loves you and me so much that HE came to earth as a human so you and I could get to know HIM and learn to trust HIM and love HIM back. Theologians call this the Incarnation. God became one of us, a human being, so we could understand what he is really like. Now I am going to stop here, and pray………would you pray with me? We serve a God of Miracles……Pray, think, listen……..chew on this writing for awhile…….picture the birth of Jesus………picture Jesus walking this earth……..seeing hurt….seeing victories in HIS days on earth………then think of Jesus walking the earth today!
We serve a God that raises the sun and lowers it each day…….we serve a God who makes no two humans the same…….we serve a God who turns the colors of the leaves……..we serve a God who makes four legged creatures all different…….make your own list…….Christmas is all about Jesus……..
Today start reading your Bible and let the Word of God absorb into your heart, mind and soul.

Thanks Eric and Chris…by the way interesting what is going on in Williston, ND and Sidney, Montana…….housing shortage because of the oil boom in the Williston basin, just like when I worked in Radio there in the late 70’s! The economy is very good in that area. Great memories of my days at KGCX in Sidney and at KEYZ/KYYZ in Williston! PRAISE GOD!!!
Here is our Christmas Story for this day….it is sent to us by our dear friend Don Johnson of Afterglow…….Don like Jerry Stewart (by the way check www.mykkim.com for our complete schedule of Special Christmas programming) has a way with words and music…..both have such a Godly talent to express God’s greatness. They both are a regular part of our KKIM/KARS line-up. By the way Don will have a Christmas special on today at 4:30 in place of NM News and Views…..
A Special Story for the season. Thanks for all you do for Christ and His Kingdom.

HOW THE GREAT GUEST CAME
Edwin Markham wrote a beautiful story/poem about the coming of Christ. His story is about an old boot and shoe cobbler named Conrad whose shoe shop was very close to the Danube River . When friends dropped by on Christmas Eve, they noticed he had cleaned and decorated the shop with many green garlands. Conrad excitedly told them about a dream from the night before. In his dream the Lord had said, “I am coming to be your Guest.” This visit would be before Christmas day. Conrad had prepared his home and was excitedly waiting for his special Christmas Guest to arrive. His table was set with milk and honey and wheaten bread. Conrad told his friends that when the Lord entered his shop he “would wash the feet where the spikes had been, he would kiss the hands where the nails went in, and then at last would sit with Him and break the bread as the day grew dim.”
All day long Conrad waited for his Great Guest to come. Seeing a beggar outside in the driving rain and he called him in. Noticing his feet wrapped in rags were bruised from the stony streets outside, Conrad gave the beggar the best shoes in the shop and sent him on his way.
Later in the day a woman, with a face lined by deep sorrow and struggling with a heavy bag of wood strapped to her back, stopped at Conrad’s door. He gave her some of the food he had prepared for his coming Guest, and watched her leave, refreshed for the weary road that lay ahead of her.
As the day swiftly passed Conrad continued to wait for the fulfillment of his dream. A little child, lost and afraid, pushed into his shop. Conrad gave him some of the milk that was set out for the coming Guest. Then he picked him up in his arms and carried him home to his worried mother’s arms.
The day was now almost over and with it Conrad’s hope of his dream coming true. As the daylight turned gray Conrad sadly sighed, “Why is it, Lord, that your feet delay? Did you forget that this was the day?” It was then Conrad heard a soft voice saying to him, “Lift up your heart, for I have kept my word. Three times I came to your friendly door; three times my shadow was on your floor. I was the beggar with the bruised feet; I was the woman you gave to eat; I was the child on the lonely street!”
Conrad’s dream did happen. His expected Guest did come that Christmas Eve. Though in ways Conrad never expected, He came to him…three times to be exact!
While waiting on his Great Guest, Conrad shared what he had with those in need. And because of his openness to the immediate world around him, he discovered dreams come true even when we don’t realize all that is happening.
That’s how the Great Guest came to Conrad then. And that’s how He still comes today. We may not recognize Him, but He is here. And His words are still true: “Inasmuch as you did it to the least of these My brethren, you did it unto Me.” –Matthew 25:40 May our dreams come true, and may the Christ of Christmas visit us, starting today.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year—Don and Cheryl Johnson
