Dear KKIM/KARS Family,
May we be about our Father’s Business this day and all days……..
Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love. 1 Cor 16: 13-14
I just received word late last night after I had gone to bed that Scott who we have been praying for over the last several months nearly passed away on Friday. I am not clear on his diagnosis. Scott is from Tucumcari, NM His wife is Marci and they have a 13 year old son. Let us keep them in our prayers. Thank you Michelle for the update.

Let us be in prayer for Angelo’s family.
We had other posts this weekend and some are posted on our Facebook page. Please go to www.facebook.com and type in Dewey Moede.
We will continue to pray for Egypt, Jordan, Yemen, Israel…..all countries in the Middle East.
But please check out our Facebook page and www.deweysdailycup.com
We have a post on how Chick-fil-A is taking a lot of heat, for their support of Family values………..read about it on our Facebook page.
We also had a post this weekend on Jim Hofflander of Mankato, Minn who has suffered from severe depression most of his life. He used to do a radio show on mental illness. It seems that much of mental health help is ran by the secular world, I think the Church can do a much better work in this area, than it has been doing. Sometimes I think the Church chases away more people that have mental health issues than it helps.
It was a heavy weekend, seeing the violence in Egypt………many heavy discussions with people in need this weekend, the Ministry here is working overtime to meet the needs of folks…, please pray for us, We are reaching people all over New Mexico, to Mankato, Minn to Maylasia, all over God’s World, for God’s Glory Alone!………very heavy heart………so I wake up this morning and there is this email that made me laugh! From Jerry of Valley View Christian Church out of Edgewood, NM………My Minnesota Vikings Friends are not going to like this………
Tom Brady , after living a full life, died. When he got to heaven, God was
showing him around. They came to a modest little house with a faded Patriots
flag in the window. “This house is yours for eternity, Tom,” said God.
“This is very special; not everyone gets a house up here.” Tom felt special,
indeed, and walked up to his house.
On his way up the porch, he noticed another house just around the corner.
It was a 3-story mansion with a GREEN & GOLD sidewalk, a 50-foot tall
flagpole with an enormous PACKERS flag, and in every window, a CHEESEHEAD.
Tom looked at God and said “God, I’m not trying to be ungrateful, but I have
a question. I was an all-pro QB, I hold many NFL records, and I even won a
few Super Bowls.”
God said “So what’s your point, Tom?” “Well, why does Aaron Rodgers get a
better house than I do ?”
God chuckled, and said: “Tom, that’s not Aaron ‘s house……it’s Mine.”
GO PACKERS !
LOL! LOL! Good one!
For myself, I am ready for Softball to start! Put me in Coach! That will help me run off so,me of this heavy heartness! Phil when can we start spring training?
The Weekend To Remember marriage Conference is fast approaching…..Feb 11-13 go to www.mykkim.com for details……..at the Conference you will get a workbook, like Sharon and I did…….in this book……..let us read………
From the beginning, the Scriptures state that Satan has challenged God and His purpose for marriage.
So we should not be surprised when we read about those attacking Chick-fil-A for their support of Family friendly issues.
Satan’s opposition is focused on Independence from God. Isaiah 14:12-14, Ezekiel 28:12-18.
In the book, the question is asked…………How is Satan defeating you? Is Satan defeating your marriage?
If you need help just email me and I will be in contact. But once again I pray that you can attend the Weekend To Remember Marriage Conference.
Pastor Leonard sent this in……….
Quiet Time Requires Protection
by Rick Warren
“Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.” Matthew 6:7-9 (NCV)
“The key to sticking with any plan for improvement in your life is fitting a prayer of protection in to your quiet time.”
A lot of people start well with resolutions and changes in their life, but don’t finish well. The key to sticking with any plan for improvement in your life is fitting a prayer of protection in to your quiet time.
What this means is asking God for help in the areas of your life that you struggle with. For example, if you’re in debt and you’ve set a goal to get out of debt, ask yourself, “Why did I get into debt?” It could be you bought things you didn’t need with money you didn’t have. That’s temptation.
Once you set a goal in life, Satan will start tempting you to do anything but reach that goal. Count on it. So you need to say, “Lord, I need your help. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.” That’s the prayer of protection.
Ask God for the strength to reach your goals. Ask him on a daily basis. Keep a list of the goals you want to achieve, then pull out that list every day and say something like this, “Lord, there’s no way I’m going to reach this goal unless you help me. I’m going to be tempted to give in, give up, take the easy way out. I need you to help me overcome the temptation.”
Here are two verses to keep in mind:
“I can do everything through him who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:13 NIV). When Christ is inside you, you will have the power to do anything.
“Remember that the temptations that come into your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will keep the temptation from becoming so strong that you can’t stand up against it When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you will not give in to it” (1 Corinthians 10:13 NLT).
So if you say, “I’m a Christian, but I couldn’t help myself,” you’re lying because God says, “I will make a way out.” You have no excuse. You weren’t looking for a solution; you just didn’t want a way out.
But God promises that he will always make a way out for you. Ask him for that protection every day.
Thank you Leonard for sending this in.
