Dear KKIM/KARS Family,
May God be with you this day and all days………
Back from an AWESOME journey that the Lord had me on! What a wonderful celebration of Uncle Joe’s life we had! I presided over this wonderful celebration, we all dressed in Minnesota Twins, Vikings or Gophers garb, because as many of you know Joe was such an avid Minnesota sports fan! It was such a great ceremony blessed by our God paying tribute to His servant Joe. By the way I stand corrected on the number of Foster Children Joe and Mary had, it was 34!!!!
I also was so blessed to Baptize two individuals while in Minneapolis, Jazmin, Uncle Joe’s granddaughter and Randy Thom a friend of mine who traveled all the way from Rochester, Minn to come and be baptized. PRAISE GOD! What a Godly honor to be part of that! For God’s Glory Alone!
I am finding out as I grow in my walk with the Lord, the more I surrender, the more He gives me in discernment and direction. One of the things Joe taught us all in his passing from here is, don’t be in a hurry! He stayed on this earth longer than many though he would after 8 strokes through out his life. He stayed longer the last month than many thought, but he had given Mary Ann, Joe’s daughter, a list of things that he needed to complete before he passed on. In the last few days as he was passing he would raise his arm and, it would be like he had a pencil in his hand a make a check off..as he raised his hand! The last person Joe needed to talk to was his granddaughter, Morgan, they were able to finally get a hold of her and as soon as she talked to Joe and told him that she loved him Joe took was last deep breath here on earth and then was in heaven! He had completed his work here on earth. Mary Ann said it best, when the Funeral Home Director asked her what Joe did for a living, she said, “He was a Teacher!” yes he was! A teacher on how to live a Godly life!!! AMEN PRAISE GOD!
These are some of the main things Joe taught us…………….
If you really want to understand a man, don’t just listen to what he says but watch what he does!
You can talk a good game, but what you do out in the field of life is what counts!
Men be the light of the world for Jesus Christ.
The World desperately needs Men of God to be the Salt and Light!
Joe Moede never met a stranger, before you knew it he had asked you your name how many children you have and what you do…people that worked at the Assisted Living Center were always amazed that Joe remembered there name and their children. If you were the janitor or the President he cared equally about you!
He prayed for all each day, by name.
Joe and Mary had 10 Children of their own and 34 Foster Children, The legacy of Joe and Mary Moede continues……
Despite many tragedies in Joe’s life he never lost his way.
Some might say Joe was simple man, he never had a high position in society, he never made a lot of money, he never wore fancy clothes, he never had a fancy house or car…but he had something we all should strive for, A strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ, The heart of a servant who gave all he had to others!
Produce much fruit in your life.
If you leave people as you found them, God is not speaking to you!
Joe Moede never left people as he left them. He helped so many over the years to come to Jesus.
I am the true vine, and My father is the vinedresser.
Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit he takes away; and every branch that bears fruit he prunes, that it may bear fruit.
You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.
Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
John 15: 1-5
What part of these verses do we not understand? That right there was Joe Moede’s life, as he abided in the Lord and produced much fruit.
Joe Moede and his servant heart……Mark 10:45……..
For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many……..
Joe Moede followed the life of Jesus Christ……….
He taught us much, such a Godly legacy…….I have received emails from many…thank you for your kind words….many who have read this CUP over the years have shared with me that they have really appreciated all the wisdom that I have passed along from Joe Moede. I will continue to do so, Lord Willing.
For those, and there are many, that have never had a Joe Moede in their life, we the People of God need to pour love on people, the love of Jesus Christ.
When Joe ran his grocery store in Windom, Minn he had the longest list of people he gave credit to, as many could not pay for their groceries…..
There is much to reflect on this morning…….like how are you living your life? Are you keeping to yourself? Are you bearing fruit? Are you serving others? Are you being the Salt and Light?
People know us by our walk, not by what we say………
One of the first things I pray to our Lord each day is…Lord, help me not do something stupid today!!!! It would be a much better world if we would all just say that……make ourselves so vulnerable to our Lord and admit our weaknesses in the flesh!
Man has complicated the message of Jesus Christ, it is a simple message.
We have this update from Amy, who we have been praying for, well…..it’s been years …….
Good morning! Just an update on my situation. I have been on chemo for just about a year now for my second “dance” with cancer. I am actually taking a disability retirement after teaching in Los Angeles for 23 years.
I am going in Thursday morning at 8 a.m. for a scan and am requesting prayers for complete remission to be shown! God is good, God is faithful, but this child is getting tired….the chemo is not totally devastating, but I have a wonky stomach about 4 days out of each 7, and I have serious energy issues, as well as the normal “chemo brain” forgetfulness. I am trying to keep as active as I can, but am not up to running any marathons right now! I am blessed with an amazing husband, son, parents, family, etc.
I know God is with me. He reminds me frequently. I am just praying for the gift of restored health, and the privilege of being around for my son’s growing up and even for being here for grandchildren! Again, I appreciate any prayers!
Thank you my Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ! ~Amy Schultz in California.

KKIM/KARS Sandy Harrington has had Amy on her program to share this journey with us……..please keep Amy and family in your prayers.
Let us continue to pray for each other and our families, and the World.
God is directing me to GO OUT of my walls……….and share the good news….and baptize many………for HIM!
I put this call out, and I know it scares some, because they don’t want their walls invaded by Jesus, but I make this call out because of what the Lord has told me to do. So if you would like me to come your way….or even if you don’t LOL LO!!! just drop me an email.
If you are so comfortable in what you are doing, you are not doing enough for Jesus!
In the Love of Jesus Christ, Dewey Sharon and Family
