I share that with you today again because we must realize the POWER in the Holy Spirit…….yesterday I was stepping in mine fields!!! Mine fields that Satan had laid down for me to step in!!! But the POWER of the Holy Spirit….The POWER that GOD gives us all can carry us thru if we will just accept HIM! It comes from a personal relationship with HIM! Billy Graham used to say that 80% of those in Church don’t have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ!!!!! My friend Tom Lester who appeared with Billy on some of the crusades shared that with me. My prayer today is that you grow so close to our Lord you can tell me what brand of chewing gum HE chews!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL LOL LOL!!!!!!
Personal Revival PrayersThis month we plan to concentrate on prayers for personal revival. A. W. Tozer wrote: “It is impossible to have a community revival where there has not been a church revival, and unless at least a few individuals seek and obtain a spiritual transformation in their own hearts, there can be no hope for their church, for a church is composed of individual Christians. It is a mere commonplace to sing or pray, “Lord, send a revival, and let it begin in me.” Where else can a spiritual quickening take place but in the individual life? ” Matt Redman’s song encapsulates the heart of personal revival pray-ers : We’re looking to Your promise of old We’re looking to the promise You made Lord, send revival, start with me This month consider praying through these 6 ‘P’s. 1. PraisePraise God for everything He has so richly provided for you: your salvation; your spiritual life; your church and the relationships you have with brothers and sisters; your job and what he has provided for you materially; your aspirations and faith; your ministry and calling; your family. How gracious God has been! 2. PenitenceExamine your heart and pray, ‘Lord, see if there is any wicked way in me. Is there anything in my life, my actions, my thinking and my words that are displeasing to you and grieving to your Holy Spirit?’ Ask God’s forgiveness and cleansing. 3. PurityPray that God would grant you a fresh zeal for purity and holiness before the Lord. He desires truth in the inward parts. He can grant a greater degree of victory over sin and temptation than you have experienced until now. Read through Romans 6:1-11 and remind yourself that you are indeed dead unto sin, that your old self is crucified and sin shall not have dominion over you. 4. PassionLet’s make a decision to return to our first love, to recapture the intimacy with God that we once had. He is still seeking to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him (2 Chron 16:9) and he will give grace to all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love. (Eph 6:24) 5. PowerThe promise still stands: Acts 1:8 That power is still available to energize your life, your words and your ministry. ‘Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. (Eph 3:20-21) 6. PeopleBring to God all those who are our ‘life connections’ – family, friends, colleagues, college or work friends, neighbors, acquaintances. Ask God to grant a spirit of revelation so they would see their need and be open to spiritual realities. 7. ProjectsLet’s conclude by praying for all the kingdom-extending projects our church or movement is spearheading. I saw your stuff this morning and the thought came to mind—I haven’t sent you a copy of our fund-raising letter. All I can say is that this is a very good project with lots of local support. It’s Island Park ’s first remodeling project in its 50-year history.

You know about the $22,300 in matching grants and that the Health Department shut down our concession stand. You know we plan to build a new one and that all labor is donated.
But you may not know our stand’s cost went up — from $22,000 in materials (labor will be donated) to $33,000. Key factors are flood proofing costs and equipment required by the health department.
Key things to know: We want to stress these things about the park’s first remodeling project in its 50-year history:
• We need to replace an old maintenance shed and old backstop.
• We also need to fix fences and upgrade our batting cage/tunnel.
• If we can raise enough money, we see two more key items that would make Island Park look and feel fantastic — a working scoreboard and a canopy over the grandstand.
