Dear KKIM/KARS/SHINE Family, May the Peace of Jesus Christ be with you this day and all days……. I got an email yesterday from a man on a write up I did at www.newmexiconewsandviews.com The article was on Atty Gen King and all his Nothing Noise. The man said I was being very brave……I don’t think so..I am just giving out the word’s Jesus is giving me…..We are to be the Salt and Light, brining forth the TRUTH. We are to be BOLD for JESUS! Too much monkey business is going on and too much of the Body of Christ has their heads in the sand. I am sick and tired of corruption! We are to leave a better world for our children and their children. As Pastor Steve Smothermon said the other day and has many times on KKIM/KARS the Church needs to be involved! Let us go into prayer for our Dear, Dear friend Sam…….. Sitting here crying from my neck pain that just seemed to come on me in an instant and get totally out of control just as fast. I sat and read your message thru my tears. Please remember me today in your prayers Dewey. Pain is such a pain! but I know tomorrow will be a better day. sam We are praying for complete healing Sam…….Please keep us posted. We love you with all our heart! We are constantly praying for all the firefighters in New Mexico and Arizona…..More fires broke out in New Mexico yesterday. We had with us on NM News and Views last night David Sutton the Owner/Broadcaster of KRSN radio in Los Alamos, leave it to the local radio station to have their facts right. The National media is not always reporting on this fire correctly. NBC TV did what they called a “Live” shot after sun up in Los Alamos, only problem was it was shot earlier as it was dark outside. Not always the truth from the media. Then we have people like this Matt Rush in New Mexico posting things like, “The Whole Town of Los Alamos might burn down!” Why would you say that? Why would you post that? Very Irresponsible! We are talking about peoples lives, their homes, their livelihoods, their fears…… We also had with us Pastor Jim Montoya who retired from the U.S. Forest service talking about the cause of these fires, how explosive these fires are, what the lack of thinning has meant to the forests, what the tree hugger movement has resulted in, and what it is like to be fighting these fires. In his years in the US Forest Service Jim fought forest fires. By the way Jim will be on with Chuck Bates today at 11:05 KKIM/KARS on News and Views talking about this. The Fire is now a 1/2 mile from a home in Los Alamos in the Quemazon neighborhood. The fire grew about 2,000 acres yesterday around Los Alamos because of high winds that picked up yesterday afternoon. The fire is approaching now 65 to 70 thousand acres. As many as 800 firefighters will join the effort today. A tent city for the firefighters is being set up north of Jemez Springs. Fire trucks from Cities and Towns all over New Mexico are patrolling the streets of Los Alamos to spot fire. National Guardsman are also on the scene patrolling the town. Gov. Martinez vows to seek authority to ban all fireworks in the state. PRAISE GOD! For more on the fires listen in today to Frank Haley at www.mykkim.com and our web site www.newmexiconewsandviews.com What do you think of this? Pew Research……… This is the World we live in, as we say at the Radio Ranch…….. 68% of Americans say it would make no difference in their voting choice if a presidential candidate were a Mormon. 25% say they would be less likely to vote for a Mormon. 62% say it wouldn’t matter to them if a candidate were gay. 33% say they’d be less likely to vote for a gay candidate. 33% say they wouldn’t care if a candidate didn’t believe in God. 61% say they’d be less likely to support an atheist. This is the World we live in…….. Pew Research Poll published in The Week magazine June 17th issue. Psalm 91 Safety of Abiding in the Presence of God……… He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” What peace and confidence those verses bring……read all of Psalm 91 please…… despite all the darkness…….. Doubt is a lack of confidence or assurance that God will keep his promises. Faith is an active confidence that God’s promises are always true. James 1:6 says we should pray with faith, or better yet, we should pray without doubt! James must have remembered what it was like to sail during a time when ships were at the mercy of the winds and waves. He said, “the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind,” AMEN TO THAT! Unstable. Back and forth in a constant state of disruption, UGH! — it makes me seasick! maybe that is what I am feeling for all those that are unstable in these times and people going back and forth from lows to high’s, they say they know Jesus but act like a drunken sailor! As recorded in the Gospels, it was three or four o’clock in the morning when the disciples got caught in a storm on the Sea of Galilee. Four or five of the twelve were experienced fisherman—they knew enough about the reputation of the lake to be terrified! The rest of the disciples took their cue from the experts. if a fisherman like Peter was sacred, shouldn’t they be? Just when the wind and waves were taking them under, JESUS WALKED BY! ON THE WATER! Matt 14:26 tells us that the disciples “cried out of fear.” Verses 27-28 continue, “But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid.” Why do you doubt? he asked him. I’m right here. Oh my friends that is one of the greatest stories told. It is a true story….I wonder these day’s as people turn away from the word of our LORD, how many believe this true story? Keep your eye’s fixed on Jesus, don’t take your eye’s off of Jesus, it’s like in baseball, don’t take your eye of the ball or it will hit you in smack in the face! Life is good with Jesus, no matter what is going on around you……have a firm foundation in our Lord! A man I have really come to love is Victor Martinez…….I told Victor he has the heart of a Pastor…..we need more men like Victor…….here is what Victor shared with me…….. let these words soak in…..Food for Thought! WOW! Pray as you read…..take them in slowly……. Hi guys. In Acts 6:5 and 6:8, Stephen is described as “a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit” and “a man full of faith and power” who did “great wonders and signs among the people.” Also, in Acts 6:10 it says the people were “not able to resist the wisdom and the Spirit by which he spoke.” Acts 7 details martyrdom. What an awesome man of God and testimony. He was not an Apostle but was one of the first church deacons. How do you think he became the man he did? Can we duplicate his lifestyle today? How? I’d love hear your thoughts on this. Thanks. Victor And then just a little bit later came this………. I just spoke with Rod about this and hope he replies with something to everyone because it was good stuff! I’ll add one thing I think the Holy Spirit showed me awhile ago. When you look up the meaning of the word “full” in the concordance, one of the definitions is “hollow”. In other words, to be “full” first requires that you be hollow, or empty, of everything else but faith, the Holy Spirit, and power. What kind of things are we putting in to ourselves that keep us from being hollow, and consequently keep us from being “full of faith…the Holy Spirit…and power”??? WOW! Victor thank you for sharing! Too many people are filling themselves up with NOTHING NOISE, things to tickle their ears, to tickle their fancy, while they leave the Word of our Lord. Victor, Thank you for these very WISE Words….Men need to hear these words…..they need to get off facebook and all that monkey business and pay attention to their families and most of all pay attention to Jesus Christ! Too many men are taking the easy way out…..too many men are not being leaders in their family. I got an email from a man this week saying his wife filed for divorce. I told him that he waited too long to get help for his marriage. He needed to fight for his marriage. Once again a couple not together in the LORD! This same man would post ungodly stuff on Facebook! When you play with fire, you will get burned! Burned up and it may burn down your marriage and family! I would leave Facebook in a New Your minute if it wasn’t for what the Lord has told me to do, to use it for Ministry. I have too many Men coming to me saying their wife wants a divorce! Why do to many men wait to long to get help? And to many of these Men do not have a relationship with a Pastor! Even thou they tell me they go to Church! As the old saying goes, What problems do you have in your life that are not caused by your actions or lack of? We cause most of our own problems……take our eye’s off Jesus Christ and go off on our own will…..the flesh….. WE ALL, need a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and with a Pastor and other Godly mentor’s! Keep your eye’s fixed on JESUS and don’t get hit with a ball in the face thrown by satan!
