Dear KKIM/KARS/SHINE family,
May God be with you and yours this day, may you and I grow closer to the LORD!
I share this letter to you for many reasons……One is this, this week has been very challenging for many reasons, I am thanking God that I can sit down calmly and talk with people that do not agree with me. We see things differently at times. I have people that come and talk to me or write me when we disagree. I am sad when the disagreement comes in the form of an angry email or phone call, really sad when they don’t leave a name! It is not right in my mind, to shut anyone out of the discussion. I thank the Lord for the peace HE has given me in hearing from these people who are kind enough to approach me in a nice way to discuss matters. I had a man come to my office yesterday, saying he loved me but not agree with me at all on something. We had a wonderful talk. I sometimes get hurt a bit what is said, and maybe even weep a bit, but it is a good thing. I also got this note from Grace……..
dearest dewey-thanks for this-although you and i may see some things differently-the most essential of what you say and write is love and praising God-and that is so good to not only be reminded of but also keeps us all connected.
i am grateful to God everyday-and today specifically that He guided me to a job which i start on monday, that i have two beautiful girls both turning another year older in the next two weeks, and a husband who loves and provides for us everyday regardless.
i love you will be in touch to discuss new job. thanks you for being my friend, my pastor, my mentor and most of all being you! Grace
Thank you Gracie Love ya much!
You see what Gracie said, we see some things differently, but we keep communicating…..we must……..I also find I can learn much through this process and it makes me think also! I Praise God he guides me through this process, it is a Godly process. it is an OPEN DOOR, I do not have a closed door! AMEN!
We must keep the communication open for God’s Glory Alone!
I believe everything that Scripture says, I want all to experience what I have, I want all to have the Word of God absorbed into self…….Scripture describes itself as milk 1 Peter 2:2, solid food, Hebrews 5: 12-14, light, Psalm 119: 105, and nourishment to our souls. By it we are warned of what could injure you and that in its study there is great reward Psalm 19:11.
“Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God” Romans 10:17 njkv.
The more you believe that God’s Word holds life and truth, the more your faith in God will grow. AMEN!
I am praying right now that you will pick up your Bible and read those scriptures. Oh, my friends the best vitamin you can take everyday to boost yourself is to read the Word of God!
God’s Word is always true—-believe it.
Let us pray………
Thank you Lord for your WORD! What a miracle! Our guide for life with YOU! We commit ourselves afresh to believe YOUR WORD and to listen for the HOLY SPIRITS prompting! Oh YES WE DO! Our lives cannot be the same once YOUR presence and YOUR promises are at home with us! Apart from YOU, we can do nothing! In JESUS name, AMEN!
WOW! Read this…….

When I woke up this morning, I asked myself, “What is life about?” I found the answer in my room…the fan said, “Be cool.” The roof said, “Aim high.” The window said, “See the world!” The clock said, “Every minute is precious.” The mirror said, “Reflect before you act.” The calendar said, “Be up to date.” The door said, “Push hard for your goals.” The floor said, “Kneel down and pray”
I tell you Darlene writes the most beautiful things and posts them on Facebook! She is from Mt. Lake, Minn.
We have been talking a lot about Gov. Rick Perry’s call to prayer in Houston in August 6th. We have been praying for other Governor’s to join the call…..no other’s have joined at this time. But we also have been praying for someone to rise up and carry the ball here in New Mexico!! Well, PRAISE GOD Pastor Bill Ruhl is one and Pastor Larry Moss told us about another event on August 6th where people will be gathering the State Capitol steps from 10am to Noon that day for prayer! PRAISE GOD! Here is a note from Pastor Bill…..
Two Upcoming Events:
Next Monday, August 1, at 7PM, the Intercessory Prayer Meeting will be held at the Global Destiny Ministry
facility at 10600 Menaul Blvd NE to facilitate a combined meeting with many other ministry pastors
and intercessors from throughout the city. If you know of anyone interested in joining in and perhaps
hosting one of the monthly meetings, please invite them to attend.
A “Response Too” Gathering is being planned for Saturday, August 6 from 9AM to 4:30PM, at the
Global Destiny Ministry facility, 10600 Menaul Blvd NE, Albuquerque 87112,
to coincide with the “Response” Gathering being held in Houston, TX on that same date. For those of you that may
not have heard, Texas’ Governor Rick Perry has invited all other Governors and many national Christian leaders to a
gathering at the Reliant Stadium on that date; hoping to fill the stadium (61,000 seats). Originally I was scheduled to
attend, but that door closed, so the Lord said why not have a “Response Too”?! Why not? Let’s gather as many as
who “will” together here in Albuquerque, at the same time, and praise, worship, repent, proclaim, declare and stir up
the atmosphere from “our land”! Interested, let me know…looking for prayer warriors and praise and worship teams to
fill up the time on that Saturday.
Big plans. Big God!
Blessings,
Bill and Monica
Thanks to Godly leaders like Pastor Bill Ruhl and Monica and Pastor Larry Moss and others in the State of New Mexico August 6th will be a HUGE day for in the LORD! Let me know if there is a prayer event in your area on August 6th! Let us pray…….
Here’s an update on the BIG DAY! A federal judge dismissed a lawsuit that sought to stop Gov. Rick Perry from sponsoring a national day of Christian prayer and fasting, ruling Thursday that the group of atheists and agnostics did not have legal standing to sue.
U.S. District Judge Gray H. Miller said the Freedom From Religion Foundation argued against Perry’s involvement based merely on feelings of exclusion, but did not show sufficient harm to merit the injunction they sought.
“The governor has done nothing more than invite others who are willing to do so to pray,” Miller said.
Rich Bolton, who argued for the group, said he was considering an appeal.
“I wonder if we had a Muslim governor what would happen if the whole state was called to a Muslim prayer,” said Kay Staley, one of five Texas residents named as plaintiffs in the suit. “I think the governor needs to keep his religion out of his official duties.”
Staley said she would be at the prayer rally to protest.
The Freedom from Religion Foundation argued in the lawsuit that Perry’s involvement in the day of prayer and fasting would violate the First Amendment’s establishment clause. The event, which is called The Response, is scheduled for Aug. 6 at Houston’s Reliant Stadium.
A day earlier, Perry defended the event, comparing it to President Obama’s participation in the National Day of Prayer.
“My prayer is that the courts will find that the first amendment is still applicable to the governor no matter what they might be doing and that what we’ve done in the state of Texas or what we’ve done in the governor’s office is appropriate,” he said. “It’s no different than what George Washington or Abraham Linlcoln or President Truman or President Obama have done.”
Perry, an evangelical Christian, said he didn’t yet know what his role in the rally would be.
“I’m going to be there — I may be ushering for all I know — I haven’t gotten my marching orders,” he said. “It’s not about me and it’s not about the people on the stage either, this is truly about coming together as a state lifting up this nation in prayer, having a day of prayer and fasting. That’s all it is.”
The group, which unsuccessfully sued to stop Obama’s National Day of Prayer earlier this year, filed the case on behalf of 700 members in Texas and called on the court to stop Perry from participating in the meeting or using his office to promote or recognize it.
Perry invited the Obama administration, the nation’s governors and Texas lawmakers to attend the event. The Republican governor is moving closer to jumping in the race for the White House.
The event is being sponsored by several evangelical Christian groups, including the American Family Association, which has been criticized by civil rights groups for promoting anti-homosexual and anti-Islamic positions on the roughly 200 radio stations it operates.
The foundation said it does not oppose politicians taking part in religious services, but that Perry crossed a line by initiating the event, using his position as governor to endorse and promote it and by using his official website to link to the organizer’s website. The plaintiffs also contend that Perry’s use of Texas’ official state seal to endorse the event and his plans to issue an official proclamation violate the Constitution.
An appellate court in April dismissed the group’s previous lawsuit against the Obama administration over the National Day of Prayer, on which people of all faiths were invited to take part. Like Miller, the three-judge panel in that case ruled that the group could not prove that they had suffered any harm when the president issued a proclamation observing the day.
Thank you for being here at the CUP today, may this day be a HUGE DAY for your life in the LORD!
