Dear KKIM family,
Good Morning!
Thank you for coming by for a CUP!
One of the main reasons I share a CUP with you each morning is that we are so busy that we need to stop during our day and have a CUP of what GOD has for us each day……..sharing with you is such a Blessing to me.
We are running and running, hopefully we are running into our Lords arms at the end of our journey here on earth!
WOW! My thanks to Shelly a lovely friend of the CUP who used to work with Sharon at the Los Alamos Hospital for getting me in touch with Samy Tanagho who was born and raised in Egypt where he studied Islamic law and Islamic religion in Cairo and later practiced law as an attorney. Samy is Chairman of the Board of the Good News for Muslims. He has been sharing the Gospel with Muslims for over 30 years. He speaks on God’s love towards sinners and how we can communicate the Gospel effectively to Muslims. He was my guest yesterday on the CUP! What a lovely man! He is coming to share here in Albuquerque Wed. night June 6th at Calvary of Albuquerque. I pray that Sharon and I are able to attend. Find out more at www.gladnewsministry.com
Samy kept on saying through the program, America is the greatest Country ever!!!! The Greatest Government ever!…….WOW! I don’t hear that enough from American’s these days!!!!!
Please pray for Egypt as they go through the election of a new President.
I see things slipping away in our Country……Biblical values……..the 10 Commandments…..etc…
Jesus did not compromise truth in order to keep people from being offended. The Church as a whole in America is compromising God’s Truth! I am not afraid to say that!
I am getting asked more and more , What do YOU THINK about this? It is not what I think, it is what GOD says in HIS Word.
Keep this in mind as you Pray for your Pastor, and if you don’t have a Pastor like some of you……please just pray over this: According to a 2010 New York Times articile, 33 percent of clergy members felt burned out within their first 5 years of ministry. 23 percent have been fired or pressured to resign at least once in their careers, and 25 percent don’t know where to turn when they have a family or personal conflict or issue.
To be called by God is, beyond any doubt, the highest vocation to which someone can aspire. But serving Him implies entering a battle, and it is wise to remember that in a battle there are no soldiers without wounds. It is normal for discouragement to come at times!
Here’s what Adrian Rogers says about this………..
No Offense, No Effect
BIBLE MEDITATION:
“Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.” Matthew 10:34
DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
A pulpit committee approached me one time and said, “We need a pastor for our church.”
I said, “I know just the guy. He is a fantastic preacher and has a fiery evangelistic spirit, but he has health problems and he’s kind of old.” I continued, “He’s also been in jail several times.”
They began to shake their heads, and one said, “Well, we don’t know whether he’s the man we want or not.”
I said, “Well, don’t worry; you couldn’t get him. He’s already in heaven, and his name is Paul.”
You don’t want a guy who can rub shoulders with the people of this world and not rub any salt in their wounds. Where there is no offense, there is no effect.
ACTION POINT:
Pray for the men who occupy the pulpits in our churches that they would not water down the truth of God’s Word, but be strong to proclaim its power.
AMEN! Good stuff!
“Behold, I lay in Zion a chief cornerstone, elect, precious, and he who believes on Him will be no means be put to shame.” Therefore, to you who believe,He is precious; but to those who are disobedient, “The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone,” and “A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense.” They stumble, being disobedient to the word, to which they also were appointed. Peter 2:6-8
Today the meaning of the word believe has been weakened. In the eyes of most it has become a mere acknowledgement of a certain fact. To many it has nothing to do with obedience. But in the passage above, the words believe and disobedient are represented as opposites.
The Scriptures exhort “that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life” John 3:16
As a result of the way we view the Word believe, many think that all they are required to do is believe that Jesus existed and died on Calvary, and they are in good standing with God. If this were the only requirement, the demons would be in good standing with Him. The Scriptures also say, “You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—-and tremble” James 2:19 There is no salvation for them.
The word believe has more meaning in the Scriptures than acknowledging existence of or just mentally assenting to a fact. Remaining true to the context of the verse above, we can say that the main element of believing is obedience. We could read it this way: “therefore, to you who obey, He is precious, but to those who are disobedient, “The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone” and” A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense”
This message by Dr. Charles Stanley fit’s right in with today’s CUP……..
The Dangers of False Teaching
Read | Galatians 1:6-9
The Word of God is truth that’s living and able to penetrate human souls (Heb. 4:12). Consider how powerful Scripture is: it can change hearts, save lives from eternal condemnation, and give hope to the hopeless.
Is it any wonder, then, that the Bible is a battlefield of Satan? The Devil will do his best to destroy its message and truth. In fact, this has been our Enemy’s continuous goal since he chose to turn from God.
Our heavenly Father has graciously let us know in advance the outcome of this ongoing battle: Truth will prevail. But while the Lord has the ultimate victory, Satan can gain ground among individuals. His tactics are dangerous and deceptive to the unsuspecting. For this reason, we should carefully guard against his attacks, which are hard to recognize unless we are prepared.
False teaching is one of Satan’s preferred tactics for leading us astray. At first glance, such instruction often seems to align with Scripture, but do not be misled by the deception. Two things are essential for standing firm against these slippery falsehoods: to be well grounded in the truth of God’s Word and to listen to His Spirit. Only then can we recognize the error and avoid the pitfalls of Satan’s lies.
The Enemy longs to mislead believers so they’ll be ineffective for the kingdom. He also wants to keep all unsaved souls far from salvation through Jesus Christ. Friends, prepare for battle. Grow in the knowledge of truth, and lean on God’s Spirit to guide you moment by moment.

Thought for the Day
“Many times we pray but are we ready for His answer? Now is the time to combine preparation with your prayer. God is going to answer your prayer and open a door for you. Be ready to take advantage of the opportunity He is going to place before you.”

Today’s Word
“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” (Luke 11:9-10 NIV)

Today’s Prayer
Heavenly Father, I know you answer all prayers. While I wait for Your answer I will prepare to take advantage of the opportunities You place before me. I thank You for all You do for me and keeping me safely by Your side. Amen.
From Max Lucado……
As heart surgeries go, mine was far from the riskiest. But anything that takes four hours of probes inside your heart warrants an added prayer. So on the eve of my surgery, Denalyn, I, and some kind friends offered our share. As they left, I wanted to offer one more prayer–alone.
God and I had the most honest of talks. The details would bore you, but they entertained us. I thanked him for grace beyond measure and for a wife who descended from the angels. I offered this prayer: “I’m in good hands, Lord. But this could be my final night in this version of life, and I’d like you to know, if that’s the case, I’m okay.”
Here I am, strong as ever. One thing is different now, though. This matter of dying bravely? I think I will. And I pray you will do the same.

School begins in the Philippines in less than 2 weeks. Many children are waiting & praying for a miracle so they can go to school. You could be the answer to that prayer. See below.
May 24, 2012. Consider your ways! While it is true that all shall prophesy, from children to aged adults, it is incumbent upon those who prophesy to be under God’s authority, sent by and informed by Him. This word is for that one or ones who are being attracted to one or more prophets/prophetesses who appear to be false, deceptive, manipulative and controlling. The central and foundational principle here is whether the prophecies coming your way are issuing forth from a clear and pure stream of God. Your hope is on your knees. Ask God for revelation of truth. You will save heartache and treasure if you consider your ways. Balaam was a false prophet. Balak was a wicked king of Moab. They deserved each other. Israel was spared. Study, think and pray on this.
Numbers 24:12-13 (NASB) “Balaam said to Balak, “Did I not tell your messengers whom you had sent to me, saying, though Balak were to give me his house full of silver and gold, I could not do anything contrary to the command of the LORD, either good or bad, of my own accord. What the LORD speaks, that I will speak’? Ras Robinson

May 24, 2012. What is coming will not be as hard or as bad as you are now thinking. Your arch enemy the devil wants to make you miserable and cause you to turn away from Me. He is attacking your thoughts with a list of “what ifs.” Do not let him succeed any longer. Refuse the thoughts bombarding your mind. Take these thoughts captive. Don’t let them bind you. Do not allow any fear to rob the peace you already have. Turn fully to Me I am here to guide and protect you. I will bring you through, and you will get on the other side and be amazed at how it happened.
Psalms 23:4-5 (NLT) “Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings.” Bev Robinson

May 24, 2012. You feel you are coming against obstacle after obstacle. You keep praying to Me and seeking My face in regard to issues you are dealing with, and your persistence is admirable. Can you see your time being used more wisely? What is the last word I gave you which gave you positive results? Consider retracing your steps to see if you became sidetracked at some point. Perhaps the path you are on is not My path but yours. I commend you for your diligence and resolve. Whatever your case may be, don’t give up. Look to Me with every step you take. I absolutely will not desert or abandon you.
Deuteronomy 4:29-31 (NASB) “But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you search for Him with all your heart and all your soul. When you are in distress and all these things have come upon you, in the latter days you will return to the Lord your God and listen to His voice. For the Lord your God is a compassionate God; He will not fail you nor destroy you nor forget the covenant with your fathers which He swore to them.” Kevin Robinson

A Life with Diabetes
Diabetes can be hard on your health and how well you feel. But it can also play a big role in other parts of your life, such as your marriage, your finances, and your emotional well-being. You may feel angry one day, sad the next. You may worry how others will treat you – and wonder if they even need to know you have diabetes. Dealing with diabetes every day isn’t easy. But you can make it easier.
Here are some ways diabetes can affect your life and how you can manage them:
Diabetes Costs Money
Most people with diabetes spend two to three times more money on medical care than people without diabetes. If you have diabetes, your healthcare costs will be about $11,744 each year – and over half of that will be due to diabetes. In fact, you’re likely to see your expenses go up by about $4,174 in the first year after you’re diagnosed. That can be hard on your finances. How you manage the cost of your diabetes care will depend on your health insurance coverage, income, and other life circumstances. To keep stress at a minimum, talk to your diabetes educator or doctor about ways to save money while getting the care you need.
Diabetes is Stressful
Managing a chronic disease like diabetes is challenging. “Many people get stressed out because their expectations aren’t realistic,” says John Zrebiec, MSW, CDE, chief of the mental health clinic at the Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston. “They expect they’re going to be perfect and lose a lot of weight very quickly, or that their sugars will be perfect.” Minimize stress by setting realistic goals. Then focus on the rewards of your actions, such as having more energy and control. Be sure to get support from other people, too. Involve family, friends, or a support group in your quest to reach your goals.
Diabetes Tests Marriages
Being diagnosed with diabetes is life-altering — not just for the person with diabetes, but also for loved ones and caregivers. “Those we love don’t always react to our diabetes the way that we hope they will,” says Janis Roszler, RD, CDE, a marriage and family therapist in Miami. “Some rise to the occasion and surpass our expectations, and others fall short.” Having support from your partner can make a big difference in how well you cope with the challenges of diabetes. If your needs aren’t being met, let your partner know and discuss changes. Set aside time to be together without talking about diabetes. Seek additional support, so your spouse isn’t your only sounding board.
Diabetes Changes Your Diet
It’s no fun being vigilant about everything you eat. “People think that a diabetic diet means deprivation,” Zrebiec says. “But it’s really about eating healthy and in moderation.” You can even enjoy so-called unhealthy foods like chocolate and alcohol – in limited amounts. Zrebiec encourages people with diabetes to stick with healthy practices like carb-counting and measuring portions, because it eventually gets easier. It’s also important to recognize the rewards that come with vigilance, such as lower blood pressure, weight loss, better blood sugar, and feeling more in control.
Diabetes and Your Job
Having diabetes can make you feel insecure about your job, especially if you have diabetes complications. You may worry that higher-ups will think less of you, you won’t get promoted, or you’ll get fired due to diabetes. The best thing to do is practice good glucose (blood sugar) control, which will keep you healthy, Zrebiec says. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) means employers can’t discriminate against you for having diabetes, and they’re required to make reasonable accommodations for you to do your job. While you may be reluctant to let coworkers know about your diabetes, keep in mind that anti-discrimination laws apply only if your employer knows about your disability.
