Frank Haley has Doctor’s appointment today….he was scheduled to have hip replacement tomorrow but the Doctor’s are checking his heart………..
Just wanted you to know that I'm scheduled for a left hip replacement operation this Wed. May 30. But that may be postponed. I had my pre-op last week, and the EKG has a blip in it.. That means I have to have an MRI/EKG (nuc stuff) Tuesday at 10 am.. It may have been a machine glitch, or I may have a blocked artery or vessel or something. So please pray that I'm cleared for surgery Tomorrow ... because if there is a problem, they'll want to fix it first, so that will delay the hip operation. I'll keep you posted and let you know as soon as I know something. Thanks for your prayers.
Dear Dewey and Sharon. an update I am in Lancaster Ca. My son and his best friend had an accident in a Rinno recreational vehicle. While playing in the desert for this four day week-end. My son Ronnie, nearly severed his fingers on his right hand. And now is complaining with pain in his back, which they will check out today. But that will heal, I Know That! His friend Jim has a broken back and will be in a wheelchair for the rest of his life. He is soo strong and such a good kid that I do believe he will make the most of it. As a matter of fact while he is still in ICU he is talking about wheel chair racing! Him and his wife had a baby girl just one year ago. They were medivaked from the campsite to this town where the Triage Center is very good. I've never seen so many care takers in one hospital. They are getting the best of care. ..... MY son is Grieving for his friend. He is still in Shock, even tho they have him very sadated. Please keep Ronnie and his family in 'Warrior Prayer, and Jim and his family as they all need the Lord's Touch right now. We All Need it very much. The fact they are still breathing is what I keep telling them all, and God had His Hand over them both. I KNOW God can touch Jim's back and when he does get into the operating room in three days things can look a LOT different from what they saw on the MRI. I KNOW it is all in God's hands. Thank You Dewey for passing this news and for all the Prayer Warrior Support. I felt Our Lord with me the entire trip yesterday. I knew I was not alone. Lancaster is about four hours from where I live. I will keep you updated. God's Peace, and My Love, sam
We are in prayer Frank and Sam! Oh yes we are!!!!!!!!!!!!
let us also pray for Deanna who is going through a divorce.
Also for Shelly who is going through a divorce.
Please pray for Pastor Paul Holt’s family as they travel to Iowa for Paul and Jo’s son’s wedding!
Let us drink this FULL CUP and be in prayer as we do………..
Anyone who claims they have no regrets is simply oblivious to others. Only a hard heart or a blind eye could be so callous. We all have a great need of forgiveness.
From the Whisper of God………
“Each one if us can easily get stuck in our past, with hurt and negative experiences weighing us down like an anchor, keeping us from moving forward, and not allowing us to realize the blessings that God has already given to us in our lives. If we forget the past, we will never learn from it – use the negatives in your past to create the positives in your future. You have learned how to recover from setbacks – now help teach someone else that is going through what you did how to make it to the other side.”
Love does not have a swelled head or a rude tongue
Love is not self-seeking
Love never insists on having its own way
Love knows nothing of the “me-first” mentality
Nor is love easily angered
Satan’s most successful maneuver in families, Churches and Christian organizations is to get people angry at one another, to attack and insult our Mom’s, Dads, Husbands, Wives brothers and sisters, Pastor’s, Church leaders………
From Fullnessonline: What choices will you make today toward the benefit of My kingdom? Will you love Me and only Me, and place no other gods or idols before Me? Will you walk in love toward every person you encounter? Will you walk in forgiveness toward those who have wronged you? Will you love yourself and receive who I have made you to be? I have given you free will. You may choose however you please and make decisions completely separate from Me if you like. It’s your choice to choose love and forgiveness. There are consequences either for good or for bad to every move you make. Choose wisely.
I am weeping as I type this….I am growing closer and closer to God. Everyday I awake to write you the CUP and and try to share with you what God put’s on my heart and mind to share. God is showing me much these days. He is impressing upon me all the non sense that His people are tied up in.
Focus on HIM, and HIM alone. Be Christ like. We must know what matters to Jesus Christ.
What grieves HIM the most? What please HIM the most?
He is most pleased when people simply believe……..He is most grieved when people don’t believe.
May Church goers kind’a believe……….now a days some Pastor’s don’t even believe the whole Bible.
I see it and hear it.
Faith believes that God says what He means and He means what he says in His Word.
So when we doubt Him, we insult the integrity of God.
I don’t think I want to meet up with God and have Him ask me about questioning His integrity!
Everything we receive from the Lord is through faith.
There is a truth that I’ve discovered in many Christians are ignorant of: God does not respond to our needs; He responds to OUR FAITH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jesus was traveling to Jericho with His disciples and a huge crowd surrounded Him. A blind man named Bartimaeus was sitting on the road. When he heard it was Jesus passing by, he began to cry out for the Master. many told Bartimaeus to be quiet and not be trouble! Bartimaeus even shouted LOUDER!
Mark 10:49 So Jesus stood still.
Jesus was focused on getting to Jerusalem. he was on a mission.
However, this blind man cried out for Jesus and would not be quiet! No adversity would shut him up!
Jesus then said, “tell him to come here.” So they called to the blind man, “Cheer up, Come on, He’s calling you!” verse 49
Bartimaeus would not be stopped in his faith!
He threw his beggar’s coat off, jumped up, and hurried to Jesus with some assistance.
Jesus said, “What do you want Me to do for you?” verse 51
What kind of question is that?
A blind man who has to be escorted to where Jesus stands because he can’t see, is asked what he needs. It;s obvious, so why does Jesus even need to ask?
Jesus desires to see evidence of Bartimeaus’s faith. Remember faith speaks!
If Bartimeaus would have asked for Jesus to heal arthritis in his hand, that’s exactly what he would have gotten.
I know this to be true by what Jesus states after Bartimaeus’s eyes are opened.
“Go your way. Your faith has healed you.” verse 52
In faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord. James 1: 6-6
The Message Bible put’s it this way………..
If you don’t know what your doing, pray to the Father. he loves to help. You’ll get his help, and won’t be condescended to when you ask for it. Ask boldly, believing, without a second thought. People who “worry their prayers” are like wind-whipped waves. Don’t think you’re going to get anything from the Master that way, adrift at sea, keeping all your options open.
PRAISE GOD FOR HIS WORD! Read that again…………Do you worry your prayers? Do you keep all your options open?
I have learned much by soaking in the Word of God and praying and studying from the knowledge of Great Men and Women of God.
Lord Willing, more later on FAITH!
We talked about this on Ask The Pastor Saturday on KKIM with Pastor’s Mark Tross and Paul Holt.
Pentecost Sunday was this past Sunday……….
In Christian tradition, Pentecost brings the 50-day Easter season to a close,” he wrote. “But it also points forward toward new beginnings, for it’s when Christians celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit and the new horizons this opens up in the story of God’s commitment to the world.”
Pentecost Sunday, he stressed, isn’t just about celebrating the past or “stoking nostalgia about the church’s supposed glory days.” Rather, “Pentecost is an invitation to dream. For when a community of faith quits dreaming dreams, it has little to offer either its members or the wider world.”
AMEN!

Great cup today Dewey,(well, they’re all good). At just 2 months short of 73 yrs old I look around and sadly say, this is not the America I grew up in.
Bless you and yours,
last week we spent two days talking about Bitterness and unforgiveness.this hit’s the nail right on the head. a story from Godvive…….
Say the Unsaid Things
—-
“I didn’t take your cigarettes!” I half yelled rudely.
“Okay, whatever…” said the deep, grouchy voice I knew too well.
“OK well I’m going.” I said dryly.
“Aaa-lright.”
And with the click of the telephone I turned away and headed off to be with some friends.
Moments before I had learned that my mother, sister, brother, and step-father were leaving to go on vacation without me. In a terrible fit of jealousy, I let my displeasure be known. I went on and on about how messed up it was I was not invited and how my family did not love me. Just on and on. This rode well into the next day.
July 16,1999 is my step-father’s 50th birthday. It was going to be his first birthday party ever. My mother had told me two or three times, so I was well aware. I had planned to be there at my dad’s first birthday party, (even though every since I had hit adolescence, we never seen eye to eye and fought constantly) but in the “situation” I thought he had put me in and in my moment of pure selfishness and resentfulness, I decided to say I’d show and just not go.
All the better, my friend called and asked me to go with her to her family reunion … a perfect excuse!
So at about 10 that night I called home collect. It was busy so I left a collect message for later delivery.
“Mom I left your shorts at Aunt Sheila’s. If you want them before you leave on vacation tomorrow, better go get em’.”
No I love you.
No be careful.
No tell dad happy birthday.
All the way to Ohio with my friend, I bad mouthed him and my mom for marrying him. I felt so angry and left out. I blamed it all on him. It was always Denny’s fault. I just knew he had been the one to suggest not taking me. We never got along it seemed.
Eventually we arrived at our destination and tucked in for the night. I never thought twice about my family. Never one thought of all the fun they were probably having at Denny’s birthday party. Not once about the excitement they all had for leaving on vacation tomorrow. Just myself.
The next morning after I had got ready, my friend and her family hit the road to meet the rest of them at an all day reunion. We had stopped at K-mart. One of Kelly’s relatives pulled up to her car.
“Jara, you need to call home something bad happened.” she had said.
“What,” I asked, “who?”
“Your step-dad had a heart attack or something.” she replied.
“Is he OK?” I said quietly, as I began to shake.
“I do not know, you’ll have to call.” and she drove away.
I got out of the car, headed towards a nearby telephone booth. I dialled collect. My mom’s voice came over the line.
“Jara…” mom said meekly.
“Mom what happened, are you OK?” I asked.
“Denny’s dead … come home, please Jara, come home.”
“OK mom, I’ll be there,” I said quietly, “I love you.”
My legs were rubber, I couldn’t talk, tears were flooding my eyes and running down my face.
That night at his birthday party, after the guests had left, Denny had suffered a massive heart attack. It was caused from emphysema and heart disease, that even he never knew about. He died in my mother’s arms.
You see, I never made peace with Denny I never took the time to show how really important to me he was. I never took the time to tell him he was my Daddy.
He had been there when my biological dad hadn’t. He was the one who clothed, fed, and sheltered me as long as I can remember. He was the one that rubbed my belly for hours when I was home sick from school. He was the one who helped me move into my first apartment. He was the one that tried till his death bed to give me values and responsibility. He was the one man in my life I knew that would love me unconditionally. I never told him how much all that meant to me. I never told him that he was my daddy.
After all this, I’ve learned it so important not to let things go unsaid, no matter how minor or major. Even though I know Denny knew I loved him, I would feel so much better knowing for sure he knew because I hurt him in so many ways. And you see, he never complained.
