Dear Family of Jesus,
First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because the report of your faith is made known to all the world and is commended everywhere.
For God is my witness, Whom I serve with my whole spirit rendering priestly and spiritual service in preaching the Gospel and telling the good news of His Son, how incessantly I always mention you when at my prayers.
I keep pleading that somehow by God’s will I may now at last prosper and come to you.
For I am yearning to see you, that I may impart and share with you some spiritual gift to strengthen and establish you:
That is, that we may be mutually strengthened and encouraged and comforted by each others faith, both yours and mine.
AMEN! The Words of Paul Romans 1: 8-12

Today as I write this CUP, a labor of LOVE, I am drinking from my Columbia College Chicago coffee mug that son Lars got me for Father’s Day and I am wearing my Columbia College DAD shirt! AMEN! I thank the Lord for what He is doing in the lives of our Children! PTL!!! The kid’s all gave me great gifts for Father’s Day, but the most important gift to me is their love and respect, and seeing them grow in life!
The theme of our Ministry is Salt and Light……….The Lord has drawn me to Paul and his ways……The Lord has drawn me to be Salt and Light……
You are salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste its strength, its quality, how can its saltness be resorted? (Much of the Church, The Body of Christ has lost its salt) It is not good for anything any longer but to be thrown out and trodden underfoot by men. (The Church is being trashed in our society because it has lost it’s salt, the Church has splintered into many groups, many believing only portions of the Bible .According to Dr. Kyle Martin, Recent poll shows only 3 out of 10 believe in the Bible, many so called Pastor’s and Church goers are selecting what they believe)
You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.
Not do men light a lamp and put it under a peck measure, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house.
Let your light so shine before men that they may see your moral excellence and your praiseworthy, noble, and good deeds and recognize and honor and praise and glorify your Father Who is in heaven.
AMEN!
Our Ministry is under the umbrella of “For God’s Glory Alone Ministries” and that is our theme, to be Salt and Light, AMEN!
“Those who know your name trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you. Psalm 9:10″
Let us pray………….

Prayer…
Prayer is the essence of the Spiritual life without which all ministry loses its meaning. It is the fulfillment of the great commandment to love the Lord with all our heart, all our soul and all our mind…..To pray is to unite ourselves with Jesus and lift up the whole world through Him to God in a cry of forgiveness, reconciliation, healing, and mercy….Most of all, prayer is the way to become and remain part of Jesus mission to draw all people to the intimacy of God’s love.” by Henri Nouwen, The Only Necessary Thing: Living a Prayerful Life
More on the Orphan Heart..Once again than you to Rene Dokken of South Dakota for bringing forth her heart for the Orphan heart, just like Wanell Pate does this day. I just so love it when you all contribute to the CUP…….Will you this day?
Daddy God, Orphan Heart
A central truth that Jesus brought to the world was that God is “our Heavenly Father”, filled with great longing to reconcile us to himself. It is not enough for God that we be forgiven – he desires that we receive the Spirit of Adoption and so be restored into full sonship, and relate to him as “Abba” (Galatians 4:6; Romans 8:15).
This word does not refer to the formal “title” of a father, but the tender, intimate name that probably best translates to “Daddy”, “Papa” or “Dad” in our modern context. Salvation is the restoration of both “sonship rights” and “sonship intimacy” – and he desires us to experience this right now, in this life.
Though we receive Christ and in him the power to become the children of God, we can persist in “orphan thinking”. In our heart, we have not fully embraced our place in the family of God. We are sons who still live out of an orphan heart.
Dear Brother Dewey,
As I read today’s cup about “Orphan Spirit” I was quickly reminded of the Women’s study we are now going through at Open Door Church of God. The study is entitled “stuck” by Jennie Allen. As we go through our daily walk with the Lord we sometimes lose sight of who He really is. We do become stuck in being broken, mad, discontented, scared, overwhelmed, sad and many other struggles that only God can bring us out of.
One of the statements made in this teaching comes from author A. W Tozer, “as God is exalted to the right place in our lives, a thousand problems are solved all at once.” We can continue to focus on our problems, trials, situations, etc. or we can choose to focus on the God of the universe who created each one of us in His image and for His glory. We really do not know what wonderful things God has in store for us because we don’t allow Him to move as He would like to in our lives.
My very favorite scripture is Jeremiah 33:3 Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. We don’t call to Him as often as we should. We have been adopted into the Kingdom of God and He has so much for us.
Thank you for always providing such words of wisdom for us each and every day Brother Dewey.
God Bless you.
Wanell
Redeeming the Orphan Heart
God’s original intention
Made for His pleasure
Revelation 4:11 (NLT) Everything God made was for His pleasure.
Colossians 1:16 All things were created by Him and for Him.
Isaiah 43:1-7 We were created for His glory. He formed us, we are His!
God wanted a family. He walked with Adam and Eve in the garden and His desire is to walk with us too. He enjoyed their company and wants to enjoy friendship with us as well!
Made in the image of His son
Romans 8:28-29 We are predestined to the likeness of His son. Not only are we made in Jesus’ likeness but we can also share his inheritance and the intimate relationship he has with the Father.
2 Corinthians 3:18 being transformed into His likeness.
Enjoy the unity of the Trinity
The love within the Trinity is complete. Nothing is missing. This love and unity was meant to be shared with us! John 17:25-26
We were made by God
Genesis 1 All of creation except man was spoken into being. God’s word went forth and creation happened. Yet God knelt down on His knees and formed man out of the dust of the earth – He then breathed life into him. An intimate act! This demonstrates that God intended a close relationship with this part of His creation.
Genesis 2:7 “God formed man out of dirt from the ground and blew into his nostrils the breath of life. The man came alive – a living soul” (The Message). God also formed Adam’s wife. Adam was called the son of God – Luke 3:38.
His life came into us and gave us our life. We worked alongside God. We became his children.

June 22, 2012. When beginning a new office job involving computers and the internet, you find yourself compiling a master list of “logins” and “passwords” necessary to do the job. About the time you think you have all of them, you find yourself needing yet another set. There are two foundational truths in place here. You could wait to start working on anything until you are sure you have all the codes you would ever need. Or, you could begin working on projects with the codes you have been given and then accumulate the remainder of the codes as you continued working. The operating idea is to be productive while you are yet learning. The Lord says, “You will never know all My secrets. However, employ well the secrets I give you and be faithful until I reveal more.”
Deuteronomy 29:29 (NLT) “The LORD our God has secrets known to no one. We are not accountable for them, but we and our children are accountable forever for all that he has revealed to us, so that we may obey all the terms of these instructions.” Ras Robinson

June 22, 2012. Being convicted of sin and convicted that you have judged another is not hard for you. This is good because sin and judging people can trip you up, keeping you from being all I have called you to be. But if you only walk in these convictions you will end up with a poor self- image. What I also want you to do is be convicted that the ruler of this world, the devil, has been judged and be convicted that you are standing righteous before Me. Your belief and acceptance of Jesus death, burial, resurrection and victory assures this. My child be as convicted of your righteousness as you are of your sinning.
John 16:7-11 (NASB) “But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you. And He, when He comes, will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment; concerning sin, because they do not believe in Me; and concerning righteousness, because I go to the Father and you no longer see Me; and concerning judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged.” Bev Robinson

June 22, 2012. In our church, we often speak of hearing angel’s joining our praises as we worship the Lord. I personally have heard supernatural shofars, flutes, piccolos, and various stringed instruments. We hear supernaturally and are in awe of God’s presence. We have tuned our natural ears to hear the supernatural and we have tuned our supernatural ears to hear the natural. The Lord says, “Don’t be fearful of the supernatural. Just because you cannot ascertain exactly how, when, where, or why you experience this at times. Embrace My sovereignty. Sharpen the senses I have given you so you can experience more of Me. I love to hear you acknowledge Me.
Luke 8:10 (AMP) “He said to them, To you it has been given to [come progressively to] know (to recognize and understand more strongly and clearly) the mysteries and secrets of the kingdom of God, but for others they are in parables, so that, [though] looking, they may not see; and hearing, they may not comprehend.” Kevin Robinson

Ladies: Strategies for Bad Menstrual Problems
To varying degrees of success and failure women cope with the trials and tribulations of their periods every month. Despite the fact that the ordeal happens every month for over 30 years, too few put strategies in place to reduce or eliminate the pain, discomfort and other symptoms of their monthly cycles. They simply endure. Fact is, ladies, you don’t have to suffer.
Here are some questions and the answers that will help your life:
1. My PMS is horrible. What can I do to make it more tolerable?
Diet is critical and eating lots of sugar, wheat, dairy and alcohol can cause many PMS symptoms. So for the week before your period, just drop the amount of toxic foods from your diet. Also make sure to get 8 hours of sleep and regular exercise. They make the difference between tolerable and enjoyable. Sometimes PMS can be caused by a hormone imbalance so seeing a doctor who is an expert in bioidentical hormones can make a huge difference. Progesterone helps decrease the PMS, but don’t get it at the health food store, the dose and formulations may not work.
2. I have terrible cramping most months. Is there a natural way to ease the pain?
Don’t want to bore you but please make sure you watch your diet. Lower dramatically your amount of sugar and eliminate all sugar substitutes before menstruation. Natural bioidentical progesterone cream up to 14 days before menstruation will alleviate most PMS symptoms as well as cramps. Sometimes premenstrual and menstrual cramps are exacerbated by constipation so taking magnesium citrate or maleate (250 to 500mg) nightly about an hour before bedtime. Magnesium will help to regulate and facilitate sleep as well.
3. What about bloating?
Bloating can be caused by too much sodium in your diet so watch your salt intake especially right before your period. Make sure to drink enough water since it will prevent fluid retention. Magnesium, calcium, probiotics and digestive enzymes may help by preventing intestinal bloating and fullness so be sure you work with someone who knows about these things. Eating low toxicity foods (protein, veggies and fruit) will make a huge difference.
4. What about exercise, diet and pain medications?
Regular exercise is huge part of any healthy lifestyle. Try cardio and light to medium weights 3 to 4 times a week and try to get out and walk for at least 30 minutes at a time. Pain medications should not be necessary if you eat a healthy diet that eliminates sugars, sugar substitutes, caffeine, wheat, alcohol and dairy and include organic low fat meats, fish, fruits, vegetables and healthy vegetable source fats. A good supplement protocol which includes: Omega 3 fish oils, calcium and magnesium, Vitamin D3 and a high-quality Multivitamin with probiotics and digestive enzymes is also important and helps you feel better: doing this will most likely eliminate pain killers which only serve to get you constipated and groggy and other not so good side effects.
5. What should I do differently when I am starting menopause?
When you start menopause you lose your hormones which are your life’s “juice”. Hormones keep you happy, slender, energetic, help you to sleep, feel sexy and wrinkle free. Aside from continuing all the above seeking a medical professional that is experienced in bioidentical hormones could mean the difference between dreading menopause, getting old, wrinkled and dried up or embracing another phase of your lives with passion and joy.
Have a blessed and safe weekend!
Thanks Doc!
