Dear Family of Jesus,
It is a settled thing in the glory that in the fullness of time the latter rain has to be greater than the former. Some of our hearts have been greatly moved by the former rain, but it is the latter rain we are crying out for. What will it be when the fulness comes and the heart of God is satisfied?
How are you this day my friends?
Sharon and I are so blessed by all our friendships!
“Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.” – John 3:36
Yesterday I was able to spend much time with Pastor Ruben Gomez and his lovely wife Lucy. They are from Midland, Texas. I first met Ruben about 3 years ago when he was coming to Albuquerque for treatment of thyroid cancer. His grandson worked for another radio station in our building and he introduced me to his Grandpa Ruben. Since then Ruben has become a mentor of mine.
I am here to tell you this morning that God is still in the miracle making business! Ruben is cancer free! Buffy is cancer free………
Just last week at the New Life City Church in Albuquerque, Pastor Alan Hawkins Church, healings took place! Pastor Bill Ruhl was on the air with me to share people who could not see, saw, people who could not hear, hear now, people with diseases now cured…….all this from the healing conference right here in Albuquerque! Miracles are happening all over the World every second! PTL! PTL!
Didn’t make the headlines on KOB TV, or the Albuquerque Journal, but it happened!
I am here to proclaim Victory in our LORD!
We must just believe!
Pastor Ruben shared two miracles on the air with me from his Church in Midland, Texas………Ruben has a prison ministry at the Pecos, Texas…….a fellow was in the prison 18 years and upon his release asked if there was a Church in Mexico Ruben would recommend that he attend……Ruben didn’t know but what happened is that Ruben and members of his Church went to Mexico and BUILT A CHURCH and this fellow now IS THE PASTOR of this Church!!!! PTL!!! PTL!!!
Another fellow that they had been ministering to in the Pecos prison had aids.Ruben and his team would pray over this man and upon his release from Prison he got a clean bill of health..he was healed!!!!!!!!!!
I share this with you this morning for God’s Glory Alone!
Only believe, and thou shalt see
That Christ is all in all to thee.

Martyn Lloyd-Jones wrote in his book, The Kingdom of God………
You and I are not left to try to delve into the mystery of the being and the person of God and to try to discover a way out of our predicament. No, the message is like this: God “hath visited and redeemed His people” Luke 1:68. “God so loved the world”—-this world, this damned, foolish, evil world that you and I live in and which we are all a part by nature—-God so loved it, “that he gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life” John 3:16
So the Preaching of the Gospel comes to us and it does not invite us to a quest or to an endeavor or to some wonderful thrill of hoping to find it. It says, “Just as you are, look back, God has already done all that is necessary for your EVERY NEED AND FOR YOUR SALVATION.
The message of the Bible is not to urge us to try and find the truth; IT IS TO ASK US TO LISTEN TO THE TRUTH, TO GOD’S TRUTH. For it’s whole point is to say that God, knowing himself, knowing man, knowing everything, has devised and schemed a plan whereby men and women can be delivered out of their failure and sin and can be made citizen’s and worthy citizens of God’s Kingdom, God’s plan!
AMEN!
What would you do if Jesus Christ came knocking on your Door today?
What would embarrass Jesus in the way you are living?
What would you want to hide, if anything?
What would you do if Jesus Christ came knocking on your door at your place of work?
What would you want to hide, if anything?
What would you do if Jesus Christ came knocking at the door of your Church?
Think about these things…..

The famed British evangelist Gypsy Smith used to ask his audience, “Do you really want to see a revival begin?” When the people said yes, Gypsy replied, “Then go back to your home and draw a circle around you on the floor. Then get down on your knees in the middle of the circle and ask God to convert everybody inside that circle. When you do that, and God answers, you are experiencing the start of revival.”

Abe Lincoln said in the Gettysburg Address: “. . . we are engaged in a great civil war testing whether that nation . . . can long endure.
“We here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain, that this nation under God shall have a new birth of freedom. And that government of the people, by the people and for the people shall not perish from the earth.”
Words that fit today!
Colorado Governor Hickenlooper, who spoke with Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano Tuesday, told anxious residents that “We have all the support of the U.S. government. We have all the support of the state of Colorado. And we want everybody here to know that.”
When I read what the Governor said my spirit sunk………
I want everyone to know about JESUS CHRIST, He is the way, He is the answer to all……
I pray that the Governor will pray to our Lord for help…and not look just at man. That is part of the challenge we have, people like the Governor always looking to the government for help…where our help comes from our Lord. This is the same Governor who may stop the National Day of Prayer in Colorado, by not appealing a recent court decision.

National Emergency Prayer Call
On Saturday, June 23, the Waldo Canyon Fire erupted on the northwestern part of Colorado Springs – a city and region that is home to more than 600,000 people and the headquarters to more than 100 ministries including the National Day of Prayer (NDP) Task Force. This fire quickly spread without hindrance igniting tree after tree, consuming the earth with every passing minute – growing rapidly in size and without clear direction due to high winds. Over the past few days it has more than tripled in size, passing into neighborhoods, and completely destroying historical landmarks. We’ve seen dozens of homes destroyed, over 32,000 people displaced, and close to 16,000 acres consumed – and the fires are still burning! We have loaded some pictures to our Facebook page (taken from our office window) to give you a better sense of the size and proximity to the city.
Fires are raging across the Midwest throughout Utah, Wyoming, New Mexico, and Colorado. This recent addition, the Waldo Canyon Fire, only compounds the issue as we deplete firefighting resources while families are impacted across these very dry states. Conditions are creating the perfect storm – high heat, drought, and high winds. To top things off, deployed aircraft were turned around, at one point, while fighting another fire in western Colorado due to a meteor shower. Obviously, there is little more to add other than it is time to pray…

Good Morning Dewey First, I wanted to again thank you for your ministry through the Daily Cup. I've been blessed and encouraged many times by it. Thank you for being faithful and yes, even disciplined to hear from the Holy Spirit and to be yielded to Him. Yesterday morning when I read the Cup, I was so encouraged because it was even further confirmation to what the Lord had been doing in my heart over the past few days. Over the weekend, we had a special set of meetings at our church. On Sunday evening the guest minister was teaching on "faith" and how we are to see things with "heavenly vision"---and that too often we are seeking after heavenly visions, when all we need to do is be obedient in getting our "vision corrected" to God's perspective. He went on to say that perhaps another way of looking at faith is to realize that what we see---in other words---what we are believing in and what we are focused on---is what we will end up following after. So one aspect of faith is in perspective---what is our view of things--what is it that we see? Are we seeing things from God's perspective--do we have heavenly vision----or do we have earthly vision based on earthly teaching and earthly wisdom? So, the question is, how do we get our vision corrected and obtain heavenly vision? First, by renewing our minds with God's word....then by receiving the Holy Spirit's direction and guidance by receiving Him in a new way, each new day. At the end of the service, he called those of us forward for prayer who wanted to get our vision corrected! I went up for prayer, and as the minister came to me, he laid hands on me, and said these words: "Breathe on him, Holy Spirit. Receive the Holy Spirit in a new way, and give him peace in his mind....his body, and his soul." Just what you shared this morning in the CUP!..... Then, last night, (Monday evening), we had another service at our church, and the minister shared on the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20. Jesus said: "ALL Authority in heaven and ON THE EARTH has been given to me." We often as believers don't have much issue with understanding the authority in Heaven part, but we often skip over really meditating on the Authority ON EARTH part. The minister shared that if we will "park" on that, and meditate on it, then we will begin to get some "vision correction" and see our lives with "heavenly vision".....much like the prayers from scripture that you wrote in the prayer for Phil Chavez....we understand things from coming over to the Lords side, and seeing our authority as well. For as the scripture went on to say in Matt. 28:19---Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit." The minister pointed out than when scripture says: "Therefore" we need to ask what that verse is "there for"! So, that verse is there to show that we are to operate in the authority that Jesus has given to us in obeying His command to make disciples. The illustration was that when a police officer is directing traffic, and he holds his hand up to stop the cars, he has no ability in and of himself to stop a car, but when he has the uniform on, (like we have our armor on!) traffic obeys him because he has the AUTHORITY to do so. He also shared the same scriptures you shared from Daniel, and that we DO have the authority to stop demonic work that is preventing or hindering the work that God has called us to do. We are to then, let the Holy Spirit "breathe" on us daily, renew our minds in the word daily, and then walk in the authority that has been given to us to carry out the work that God has anointed us to complete! Amazing and encouraging how all this fit together! A couple of other things.....again thank you for having me on the show a week or so ago....it was good to be back on radio again! I do love radio! Also, wanted to thank you for lending me the book The Harbinger----wow, exciting, interesting reading. I can't read it before bed or I get too wound up and my mind gets really busy! Great read though! Happy Birthday early! How young you are! Keep on getting better and better, Dewey! You are a blessing to so many!! Perhaps we can have coffee or go to lunch soon to talk more about getting The Family Lifeline back onto KKIM? Let me know a good time in the next week or so for you. Thanks, and GOD BLESS YOU Dewey! Love ya too Brother! Michael Great word's Michael!!!! Praise God!!! Here is a not from Pastor Mark Tross...... Hey Bro, Can you help promote this event? Awhile back I posted a write up about a Minnesota Twins pitcher who had brain cancer..........
Some sad news to pass along. Twins minor-league pitcher Paul Bargas has died after a battle with brain cancer. He was 23.
Bargas came to the Twins from the Rockies in the December 2010 trade for catcher Jose Morales. A lefthanded pitcher from Riverside, Calif., Bargas started feeling severe headaches that winter but tried to give it a go during spring training. Finally, he was diagnosed with brain cancer in April 2011.
He was treated at UCLA Medical Center and tried making a comeback going into this season before having more setbacks. I’ll have more in tonight’s first editions on Bargas, but I can tell you that despite never pitching in an official game in the Twins organization, he made a big impact on those who got to know him.
“Paul had been battling a rare form of cancer for over a year and on Tuesday night he lost his battle,” Twins spokesman Dustin Morse said in a statement. “Paul was an incredible young man who displayed a phenomenal ability to stay positive through all of this and we at the Twins feel honored to have known him.”
To get a sense of Bargas’ spirit, here’s a column our Chip Scoggins wrote on him last winter, as he was attempting his comeback.
Here is the write up that I posted months ago........
Paul Bargas is determined to be on the field when the Twins begin full-squad workouts in spring training in early March.
The lefthanded pitching prospect doesn’t know how much he will be able to do, or whether the Twins view him as a starter, middle reliever or late-inning specialist.
He doesn’t care. He just wants to play baseball again and not think about the nightmare he has survived to reach this point.
For months last winter, Bargas watched his health deteriorate. Headaches left him incapacitated. He felt nauseous constantly. His weight plummeted. Doctors put him through every test imaginable trying to find an accurate diagnosis.
Finally, they got an answer in April: primary central nervous system lymphoma. Brain cancer.
“Nobody ever wants to hear that,” said his wife, Victoria.
But something happened. They felt relieved. Sure, the news also came with fear and anxiety. But at least they had an answer. Paul didn’t allow himself to consider the worst-case scenario. To him, he was handed the ball in a bases-loaded jam and told to get out of it.
“Succumbing to the idea of dying would be, in my eyes, like backing down from a fight,” he said. “Regardless of how big it is, whether it’s a hitter or a disease.”
• • •
That motivation raged inside Bargas throughout this hardship, which began shortly after the Twins traded for him from Colorado in exchange for catcher Jose Morales in December 2010. Bargas, who spent 2010 in Class A, was excited about a new opportunity, humbled that another team wanted him.
“Then five days later I end up laying in the hospital and I can’t even remember my name,” he said.
Bargas, 23, was told he had viral meningitis, but the symptoms persisted. He married Victoria, his high school sweetheart, in Mexico in early January, but the entire cruise was a blur. Victoria rushed him to the hospital when the ship docked because he was disoriented. The diagnosis again was meningitis.
He didn’t feel 100 percent when he arrived in Fort Myers for spring training two months later, but he was eager to make a positive first impression. A few days into camp, he woke up disoriented, vomiting and in need of help. The Twins had him hospitalized for a week and then referred him to UCLA Medical Center for further testing.
Bargas approached a Twins executive before he left and asked if he could address the entire team, even though he hardly knew any of his new teammates. Bargas vowed to get healthy and return to baseball. He urged them to take advantage of their opportunity and thanked the team for taking care of him. One team official described the speech as “breathtaking.”
Bargas returned to California and underwent a battery of tests. MRIs, CAT scans, a brain biopsy, spinal tap. He suffered a grand mal seizure in the car as Victoria drove him to a doctor’s appointment. He weighed 213 pounds at spring training but was down to 155 within a month. He hadn’t weighed that little since he was 14.
“I couldn’t eat, I couldn’t even open my eyes because my head hurt so bad,” he said. “To be honest, I don’t remember a lot of it because of the trauma on my body, I guess.”
Victoria felt scared and frustrated as her husband’s condition worsened.
“It’s like we were on this wild rollercoaster that seemed like it would never end,” she said.
• • •
The diagnosis brought a range of emotions, but Bargas threw himself into his recovery. He showed a fighting spirit through chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant. He studied everything about the disease, his medications, the side effects of chemo, how the transplant process works.
He didn’t lose hope when an MRI revealed more lesions on his brain. He made them put his PICC (peripherally inserted central catheter) line in his right arm because he didn’t want anyone touching his throwing arm. Victoria kept a daily log of his walks around the oncology corridor.
“He was probably stronger than all of us,” she said. “All of us were sitting back, panicked, worried. He’s up ready to walk a mile.”
A few doctors cautioned him about his goal of pitching again this season. That made Bargas want it even more.
“I said, ‘You’re going to have to hold your reservations until the end to see what happens,’ ” he said.
Bargas’ faith always has been important to him, and cancer only strengthened it.
“I got to a point where I just gave to it to God and said, ‘I know you’re going to get me through this,’ ” he said. “I feel like I have so much more that I was put here to do.”
He had his best MRI yet in early November, and his weight has returned. He started working out again last week and responded favorably. His next step is to get his pitching arm in shape.
“It actually feels good to be sore from doing something,” he said.
Victoria has noticed a change in him the past two weeks.
“You can just tell he feels better and is getting back into his old routine,” she said. “Getting his life back in a sense.”
• •nbsp;•
Bargas has an MRI scheduled in early February and is hoping doctors clear him to report to spring training. It’s never easy to predict a long-term prognosis, but Bargas sees his short-term goal clearly.
“If you’re asking me, I’m going to be ready by spring training,” he said. “I’m not going to put it past me. There’s nothing that’s impossible. I’ll take it as goes. If it doesn’t happen or I get advised otherwise, I’ll take whatever comes. There’s no way of knowing where I’m going to be in a month.”
He knows exactly where he wants to be, though. On the mound, staring down a hitter, contemplating the right pitch to throw at that precise moment.
“Baseball is what he lives for,” Victoria said. “I’ve never seen him want to do anything else but play baseball. To see him get back on the field is going to be really rewarding and fulfilling in every way.”

Your ministry has a front row seat in My Kingdom. You have introduced so many to My Kingdom and that makes Me very happy with you. Is it any wonder then that I open doors of ministry for you? You are My ambassador in this world and beyond to the heavenlies. Your heritage is very great indeed. You and yours will be carried about with great care and honor. I have appointed Myself to be your Good Shepherd for the rest of your life.

In Caroline Leaf’s book Who Switched Off My Brain, she writes, “…hostility, rage and anger are at the top of the lists of toxic emotions that can produce serious mental and physical illness. Other related emotions such as frustration, anxiety and a lack of self- worth are not much lower on the list.” The Lord says, “Unload your cares to Me, those toxic thoughts and emotions you have about what is going on. Your body is not made to continually bear these. Sing Me praise songs and fill your mind with thoughts of thanks. I am here to give you wisdom in handling challenges. Trust all will work for good.”

June 28, 2012. How much do we withhold from loved ones? Only you and God know the real answer. How can we stay more attentive? We seem to get wrapped-up or consumed with our so called busy affairs. Even Jesus said to Simon Peter in the garden, “Could you not keep watch for one hour?” I once heard someone use the word “BUSY” as an acronym. Burdened Under Satan’s Yoke. The Lord says, “Don’t withhold good from those you care about. Take time. Be more assertive. Provide better devotion to the spiritual needs of those you serve under or have care over. Be about doing My love. Stay focused and seek Me for wisdom.”
Matthew 7:9-12 (NIV) “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.” Kevin Robinson
Here is Doctor Joe…………
ADHD and Coexisting Disorders
As an adult with an attention disorder (ADHD or ADD), you have a few obstacles to deal with in your quest to live a productive life. You also have to be vigilant about staying on top of your symptoms — lack of attention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity — so they don’t get in the way of your goals. But the vigilance doesn’t stop there. You should be aware that ADHD can come with other mental health conditions. According to the National Resource Center on ADHD, some two-thirds of children with ADHD have at least one other coexisting condition, and as adults, their lives continue to be complicated by these overlapping symptoms.
Here, according to the National Resource Center, are the most common mental health conditions that can coexist with ADHD:
Depression & ADHD
Research shows that 47% of adults with ADHD are also depressed. ADHD usually comes first, and both environmental and genetic factors may contribute to depression. ADHD takes a heavy toll on a person’s self-esteem, beginning in childhood. Because their social skills are often lacking, ADHD adults can be ostracized to some degree. As with schoolwork, ADHD adults inevitably mess up at work, forgetting an important task or missing a deadline. The resulting feeling that they can never get it right only adds to feelings of self-doubt and sadness.
Money stress? Here’s another way to check the status of your ADHD – take a look at your bank balance, credit score, and bill payment history. If you don’t have a good track record with money, ADHD may be part of the reason. Impulsivity – a classic ADHD trait – can lead to overspending and debt. And inattention can lead to misplaced bills and late payments. If your financial life is out of control, your ADHD may be, too.
Disruptive Behavior Disorders (Oppositional -Defiant Disorder and Conduct Disorder) & ADHD
An adult with ODD is argumentative, has a short fuse, gets easily frustrated and is impatient. Because people with ADHD have trouble regulating their emotions, those with ODD are quick to act out, becoming defensive over any perceived slight.
Who do you love? Your relationships can say a lot about the status of your ADHD. Tension and distance are common patterns because inattention and impulsivity can make it difficult for you to listen and communicate effectively. People may get annoyed because you interrupt them. They may get upset because you don’t remember conversations or because you struggle to focus on them when they talk. And you may start to feel walls go up. If you have trouble meeting other people’s expectations or feel like you don’t have time to invest in your relationships – that may be the ADHD talking.
Bipolar Disorder & ADHD
This condition is characterized by periods of elation and happiness followed by episodes of clinical depression. During a manic phase, a person with bipolar disorder may go for days without sleeping, talk incessantly and rapidly, and engage in extreme behaviors such as shopping sprees and sexually promiscuous behavior.
Life is good. But do you feel good about yourself? Do you like spending time with others? Do they like spending time with you? The truth is, ADHD can affect your outlook on life and relationships – because it may affect the way you manage life, the way you spend your energy, the way you connect with others on an emotional level, and the way you feel about yourself and your ability to be productive. So think about your outlook on life. If you struggle to feel good, positive, and happy about life in general, talk with your doctor about your ADHD symptoms.
Anxiety Disorder & ADHD
People with anxiety disorder worry obsessively about a wide range of things, from work, to relationships, to the future. It’s difficult for them to calm down and they often seem stressed out. Because of the constant tension, sleep can be problematic. A small number of people have panic attacks – an intense period lasting about 10 minutes – during which they feel their heart pounding, break out into a sweat, and have difficulty breathing. Research shows that anxiety and ADHD are inherited independently from one another.
How happy do you feel? Having a tough day? Or a tough week? The symptoms of adult ADHD can literally go to your head, making you feel down, anxious, and tired. You might also feel overwhelmed or overreact in tough, stressful situations. And that emotional roller coaster you’ve been riding? You may have ADHD to thank for that as well; ADHD can sometimes cause emotional ups and downs.
Learning Disabilities & ADHD
Up to half of children with ADHD also have a learning disability, such as dyslexia, which carries through to adulthood. Those with dyslexia may have trouble reading or calculating, but it’s not due to a lack of intelligence. The impact on school performance likely contributes to depression as well.
Substance Abuse & ADHD
Researchers say that, due to the impulsivity that is a hallmark of ADHD, adults may have trouble regulating their behavior and develop a drug or alcohol abuse problem. Researchers also believe there are common genes between the two conditions. As a result, the ADHD child with an alcoholic parent is more likely to develop an alcohol problem as well.
Talk with your doctor if you think you have a coexisting condition that is compounding your troubles with ADHD. All of these conditions can be effectively treated. But untreated, they may exacerbate some of your problems.
ADHD can affect several key areas of adult life – areas that are critical to managing home life, being successful at work, and fostering close relationships. Recognizing how ADHD can impact your daily life may motivate you to tackle your symptoms better.
The good news is that you can improve all the key areas of adult life with proper treatment and management of ADHD symptoms. You don’t have to live life without the satisfaction of a job well done, the security of a healthy bank account, or the comfort of a close relationship with someone special. With the right treatment and tools, you can minimize your symptoms or figure out effective ways to keep them from getting in the way of your goals.
Thanks Doctor Joe!
