”Don’t tell me the sky is the limit when there are footprints on the moon!”
Like the yellow light is the caution signal in traffic, conviction from the Holy Spirit is the caution signal in our life.
We are also praying this morning for the family of Tina Buckler who passed away this week of cancer, her husband Tim is the keyboard player for the Worship team at Evangel Center in Albuquerque.
Both Gretchen and Lars are traveling today……….Gretchen is traveling back from her work at the Wildlife Refuge in Roswell, NM and Lars is flying in from Chicago. We are thankful for your prayers.
Please pray for Pastor Bill Ruhl and Monica as they travel.
Please continue to pray for Martha Montano and her health and complete healing.
Please pray for Ruby Wells and complete healing.
Please continue to pray for Warrior Baby and complete healing.
This morning I opening up my email and was having my first CUP of coffee and praying over everyone’s name, and praying over the Words the Lord was giving me………..and then this from Sister Karen Rowe. I have to tell you Karen is in tuned with the Holy Spirit. When you read this…….pray for the people who look line a million bucks, but are hurting so inside….hurting badly……it may be what Karen is talking about or it could be their marriage, finances, illness……..Now please pray as you read……
Last night I was Looking for words to say to someone…because in a day of good words … 5 of my words hurts another … and in the end of the day, those same 5 words slammed me with guilt …
Typed in the words “what to say to …
someone you hurt?” … and instead I found more hurt … This post is bring awareness to “self hurt” and “depression” and “suicide” PLEASE if you know someone “cutting” or depressed reach out to them with kindness and understanding. These videos were so real, we need to be aware … God works all things out for the good, so I am grateful that through my bad, in my search for how to overcome in Jesus with forgiveness words, I found this KNOWLEDGE and AWARENESS …This is real … these kids ages 12 and up say “I look happy and strong don’t I?” They look happy on the outside with a smile and everything…but deep inside, they are battling and struggling. I watched many self made teenage videos of just how much WORDS can hurt … all, but one video I watched were of teens who have “cut” (inflicted self harm) … but have received help & were offering others help of how to STOP and most of all AVOID…by helping others understand… we need each other and not to keep it all bottled up. Jesus is another way… a better way … and with Jesus in us we can help ! These teens didn’t know Jesus like this yet I don’t believe, but still they were reaching out in a powerful way to help others…although in many ways were still struggling on their own …
OUR WORDS CAN HEAL OR HURT … and sometimes, for me … I can learn to “shut up” and just listen … 5 little words can make a difference … good or bad ….
Seriously read on a church sign recently: “be a blessing and shut up” …we need to control our words … and we need to look for ways to bring a smile to others … if you are depressed, keep smiling and know that I love you and so does God.
I hope this is a blessing to one person, because if I didn’t share because of what most people will think, I would be keeping this possibly from just one person who needed to know someone cares and there is a better way.
Thanks so much for sharing Karen, our words can help or hurt a situation……..Amen! I love what you said about being a blessing and then shut up! Yesterday at the phone store I was called over by a young man who said, “Here Pastor sit here.” I thanked him. He told me how great his business was going and thanked Jesus for what he was doing in his life. I went out to my car and got him Charles Stanley’s book on the Holy Spirit and I then grabbed his hands and we prayed as I anointed him with oil, with that I shut up and left.
We need to be in tuned to the Holy Spirit when to talk and when to not. The Holy Spirit will tell us what to do. Sometimes we get talking and don’t hear the Holy Spirit.
Just like Karen this morning, she was moved by the Holy Spirit to share………Who is guiding your life?
I want to share this with you from Martyn Lloyd-Jones…………
The Secret of the Christian Life………..
The more things go against us, the more we are with Christ, the happier we are. So we turn our Valley of Baca, some call it the Valley of Tears, into wells and into places of rejoicing.
Christians do fin themselves in the Valley of Baca, Valley of Tears, sometimes, but, you see, they turn that into a spring, a place of wells and rejoicing. And they do it this way, They say, “Yes, I am here now, but our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory (2 Cor 4:17)…….read that again..do not rush from these words…..be in prayer……….”Ah,” says the Christian, “I am in the valley of Baca. My health is going; my powers are waning; my loved ones are taken from me. Why should I ever have thought that would not happen to me? Of course it can happen, but it is all right-this life is a temporary journey. I am only here as a sojourner. I am a child of God. I am a pilgrim of eternity. I know that a glory awaits me there that baffles description.”
Christians are able to say something like this:
When all created streams are dry,
thy fullness is the same.
Whatever may be true of the valley of Baca, the Valley of Tears, God never changes. And so believers can go on and add this:
The storm may roar without me,
My heart may low be laid;
But God is round about me,
And can I be dismayed?
Green pastures are before me,
Which yet I have not seen;
Bright skies will soon be o”er me,
Where the dark clouds have been.
My hope I cannot measure,
My path to life is free,
My Savior has my treasure,
And He will walk with me.
AMEN! by Anna Laetitia Waring, “In Heavenly Love Abiding”
My friends are the “ways” in your life? Is the highway of God and of Christ in you?
Do you know where you are in this world?
Do you know where you are going?
Have you understanding? (So many pretend to understand)Is it all clear to you and your loved ones?
Face this honestly, and if you have to admit it scares you, admit it to God.
Plead with Him to do the mighty operation of the Holy Spirit, to send the bulldozer and to clear the waste and to make His own way in your soul that will bring you to Himself. AMEN!

Dear Mr. Moede, Thank you so much for inviting students from Albuquerque Christian School to be on your program yesterday. We all appreciate the opportunity to share information about our school, and about our participation in National History Day, and mostly about how God is at work at ACS! May God be glorified in all of it! As you recognized, my two daughters, Zhanna and Ella, are from Ukraine. They have only been in the United States for 3 years, when my husband and I adopted them. If you would ever like to do a program about Christian adoptions (especially international adoptions), our family would be delighted to share. We feel strongly about the concept that God adopts each of us as His children and we love to share His work in us and through us as we strive to share Christ. God bless you in your ministry, and thank you again for yesterday! In Christ, Dawn McKenzie
