Jesus said in John 18:37 as He answered Pilate’s statement that He was a King, Jesus said this, “You are right in saying that I am a king. In fact, for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.”
Let us share this Truth of Jesus Christ with the World! AMEN!
This from Pastor Leonard Navarre..
thank you to my friend Robin Sigars for this great quote: “When we choose to seek satisfaction and pleasure in things or people other than God, we commit spiritual adultery by chasing other lovers. And these other lovers cannot satisfy us because they are cracked cisterns. They are incapable of curing our thirst.” – Eric Geiger – iDentity – (Jer. 2:13

Psalm 106……..
106:1,47-48pp — 1Ch 16:34-36
1 Praise the LORD. Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever. 2 Who can proclaim the mighty acts of the LORD or fully declare his praise? 3 Blessed are they who maintain justice, who constantly do what is right. 4 Remember me, O LORD, when you show favorto your people, come to my aid when you save them, 5 that I may enjoy the prosperity of your chosen ones, that I may share in the joy of your nation and join your inheritance in giving praise. 6We have sinned, even as our fathers did; we have done wrong and acted wickedly. 7 When our fathers were in Egypt, they gave no thought to your miracles; they did not remember your many kindnesses, and they rebelled by the sea, the Red Sea. 8 Yet he saved them for his name’s sake,to make his mighty power known. 9 He rebuked the Red Sea, and it dried up; he led them throughthe depths as through a desert. 10 He saved them from the hand of the foe; from the hand of the enemy he redeemed them. 11 The waters covered their adversaries; not one of them survived.12 Then they believed his promises and sang his praise. 13 But they soon forgot what he had done and did not wait for his counsel. 14 In the desert they gave in to their craving; in the wasteland they put God to the test. 15 So he gave them what they asked for, but sent a wasting disease upon them. 16 In the camp they grew envious of Moses and of Aaron, who was consecrated to the LORD. 17 The earth opened up and swallowed Dathan; it buried the company of Abiram. 18 Fire blazed among their followers; a flame consumed the wicked. 19 At Horeb they made a calf and worshiped an idol cast from metal. 20 They exchanged their Glory for an image of a bull, which eats grass. 21 They forgot the God who saved them, who had done great things in Egypt, 22 miracles in the land of Ham and awesome deeds by the Red Sea. 23 So he said he would destroy them– had not Moses, his chosen one, stood in the breach before him to keep his wrath from destroying them. 24 Then they despised the pleasant land; they did not believe his promise. 25 They grumbled in their tents and did not obey the LORD. 26 So he swore to them with uplifted hand that he would make them fall in the desert, 27 make their descendants fall among the nations and scatter them throughout the lands. 28 They yoked themselves to the Baal of Peor and ate sacrifices offered to lifeless gods; 29 they provoked the LORD to anger by their wicked deeds, and a plague broke out among them. 30 But Phinehas stood up and intervened, and the plague was checked. 31 This was credited to him as righteousness for endless generations to come. 32 By the waters of Meribah they angered the LORD, and trouble came to Moses because of them; 33 for they rebelled against the Spirit of God, and rash words came from Moses’ lips. 34 They did not destroy the peoples as the LORD had commanded them, 35 but they mingled with the nations and adopted their customs. 36 They worshiped their idols, which became a snare to them. 37 They sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons. 38 They shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, and the land was desecrated by their blood. 39 They defiled themselves by what they did; by their deeds they prostituted themselves. 40 Therefore the LORD was angry with his people and abhorred his inheritance. 41 He handed them over to the nations, and their foes ruled over them. 42 Their enemies oppressed them and subjected them to their power. 43 Many times he delivered them, but they were bent on rebellion and they wasted away in their sin. 44 But he took note of their distress when he heard their cry; 45 for their sake he remembered his covenant and out of his great love he relented. 46 He caused them to be pitied by all who held them captive. 47Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from the nations, that we may give thanks to your holy name and glory in your praise. 48 Praise be to the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Let all the people say, “Amen!” Praise the LORD.
We had a great discussion at Emmanuel yesterday about the need for each of us to be Salt and Light to the World. I talked about the darkness in society……..just talking the headlines of the day………all the killings in America……Children killing their parents………etc……the pain-that these killers must be in……many say, I knew him as a nice boy….or a nice man like the football player who killed his girlfriend then killed himself at the KC Chiefs Training Facility. The staff member of the Cleveland Browns Football organization that hung himself yesterday. The New Mexico 14 year old that killed his Mom and Sister, The boy who traveled to Casper, Wyoming to kill his Father and his Father’s girlfriend, The man who killed the Police officer in Minnesota, ambushed him, the man who shot dead two teenagers in Minnesota. The 7 people shot to death in Chicago on Saturday, the Four people in California who were killed.
Hang with me here…let us face the reality of the situation and the need for the Church to get it’s hands dirty and reach out and help the hurting with one on one ministry.
Our Society is going to hell in a hand basket day by day……….
Headlines Albuquerque Journal today:
Timing Right For Pot legalization
In the story, Rick Steve’s the travel guru known for his popular guide books and a top supporter of legalizing Pot across the United States says, ” It’s amazing where we’ve come, It’s almost counterculture to oppose us.”
That is a huge statement! is it Counterculture to oppose legalizing pot? Is it counterculture to be a Christian in the United States of America?
This is just great, we have drunk drivers killing people every week, now we will have Pot Heads doing the same!
With only about 20% of America going to Church on Sunday and the laws being passed in this Country, I have almost accepted being a Christian in the United States put’s you and me in the minority.
Sharon and I will stand in the gap for God’s people, that is what He has called us to do. Our Solution to today’s problems is a relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. We are not just sounding the alarm of what is going on in our World, we have the solution, which is our Lord Jesus Christ and we are out telling people one by one about Him. We are talking to the people who do not have a Church, who do not believe in Him. We are also out talking to the Body of Christ and encouraging them to keep on, keep on being Salt and Light and do not retreat! We are to carry out the Great Commission and occupy until our Lord Jesus Christ returns, we dare not give up and retreat!
I had a young lady tell me this past week that the University of New mexico, a taxpayer supported University, teaches that God does not exists, it was in this persons psychology class.
This is the World we live in, and it is our duty to be Salt and Light for our Lord Jesus Christ, reaching one person at a time.
Sharon and I confirm these words each day….will you with us? These words our from Henry Nouwen.
The great Spiritual task facing me (us) is to fully trust I belong to God that I can be free in the world—-free to speak even when my words are not received; free to act even when my actions are criticized, ridiculed or considered useless; free also to receive love from people and to be grateful for all the signs of God’s presence in the world. I am convinced that I will truly be able to love the world when I fully believe that I am loved far beyond its boundaries!
Now let’s hand the CUP over to Shari………..
John 15:26
But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
Truly the Spirit of Christmas!
I know that I am one who underestimates the power of the Holy Spirit that dwells within my soul. My mind cannot grasp the thought of God, in the Spirit, living in me… else I’d live better. I’m just being honest. It’s a daily struggle to keep my mind pure in thought. The wrong person walks by me and old hurts revive, an unsaved person spouts profanity and I bristle, a saved person spouts profanity and I want to lay hands on them! And those are the times that I consider to be righteous rage; I won’t even go into the sins and thoughts in my life that are just flat out wrong. And to top it all, I drag the Holy Spirit right along with me, all the while He’s saying, “Don’t do it.”
What a gift we have in the Holy Spirit! My ingratitude reminds me of a YouTube video I seen last Christmas of a child who opened up a book for Christmas and just went off on his Mom. “A book, you got me a book for Christmas, why? Who buys books for Christmas, Christmas is for toys!” It was funny in a sad kind of way. It was kind of America in a nutshell. God gave us the gift of the Holy Spirit, and I think sometimes we’d like to return it. It’s convicting to have God hanging out inside of you. But when you think of life without the Holy Spirit, it’s terrifying.
The absence of the Comforter
How many times a day do I turn to the Lord for comfort? Too many times to count. Sometimes it’s a small thing, but there have been times that were it not for the comfort of the Holy Spirit, life would have been too much to bear. When I lost my Dad; when I lost my good friend Doyle; when I lost my job… the list goes on and on of times that I thought my world was never going to be right again and the Holy Spirit whispered “Peace,” and the turbulence ceased. What a gift!
The absence of Truth
The truth revealed by the Holy Spirit is what keeps us grounded in life. If not for the Word of God, where would we be? Those who do not read the Bible have no concept of the gift that is within their reach; there is no power in any other book in the world like that of the Scripture. To imagine the world without the Truth of God is to imagine the world without a conscience, and we’ve seen what just a few people without a conscience can do on the evening news.
Truly the Spirit of Christmas dwells with you if you are a child of God. It is a gift that keeps giving in bountiful supply and the more you seek to know God the greater the gift. The more time you spend in His word, the greater the gift! The more you praise Him the greater the gift! Woohoo, let’s open it!
