Dear Family of Jesus,
Thank you for stopping by for a CUP!
You see that man is justified (pronounced righteous before God) through what he does and not alone through faith (through works of obedience as well as by what he believes) James 2:24
Sharon and I have been urged by Friends to put out a plea for donations for our New Ministry. It is something that we are bashful about……but it is a reality that we need funds to do what the Lord has assigned us to do. There is a donate button on our new web site www.fggam.org and some letters from friends who share about what we are doing for Jesus Christ. My Pastor Eddie B likes to say, “It is time for you Dewey to step out of the boat!” I have resigned as Manager of KKIM Radio effective Sept. 5th. It has been such a blessed time here at KKIM, I feel like I have been in seminary for almost 7 years! It has been a extreme blessing to work with Local and National Ministries. When Sharon and I went on vacation it became clear to us that this is the Lord’s Will for us. All decisions we make must be of the Lord and also with the Godly Men and Women we sought council from they confirmed for us we are going the right way. I may be doing some part time work with KKIM, but we will see what the Lord has to say on that, we are working our way through that. When the Lord first put this on my heart about a year ago do “Go Out” and Preach the Word it has been heavy on my heart. Then a couple of months ago my main Mentor Pastor Larry Moss prophesied this over me and two other people confirmed it. When the Lord says go, we must go and I think I have been dragging my feet for a couple months on this move. Sometimes we go kicking and screaming on the direction the Lord has given us, we ask “Me Lord? Not Me! I like security!” But we must follow the way of the Lord and be obedient, The Lord will not forsake us.
This has been a difficult process as KKIM has been the best job I have ever had! I have grown so much in Jesus Christ through this job, I am the one that has been blessed. I became a Pastor through KKIM. It has been my life 7 days a week for almost 7 years. Sharon and I have made so many, many friends through KKIM.
I really don’t know if words can describe how I feel about KKIM. KKIM became part of the Moede family, we tried our best to take care of it.
Because of indecision, you can die before you’re actually dead.
Make big and exciting decisions for you and your family. Live big and brave – don’t be that concerned about people’s thoughts about you. Enjoy your life and family.

Does God Answer Prayer?
God loves you and wants you to bring your burdens and cares to Him in prayer.
Two things can keep God from giving us what we ask in prayer. The first is sin breaking Gods law and acting outside His will. Sin erects a barrier between us and God. Until that barrier is torn down, God cant answer our prayers. This is why the first step you need to take is to turn by faith to Jesus Christ and ask Him to forgive your sins and come into your life. When we do that, the barrier of sin is removed and God hears our prayers.
The second thing that keeps God from giving us what we ask for is if we are seeking something that isnt His will. God loves us and knows what is best for us and because of this, He wont give us anything that isnt His will.
Real prayer begins with a personal relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ. Are you ready to take this step?

A Morning Cup of Hope
By: Angel L. Murchison
Each day I wake up to hear the familiar sounds of airplanes flying above, the birds chirping, the cars hustling as my open window allows the noises of the world in.
Most mornings I immediately begin to think of the day ahead…my mind begins to think a million thoughts all at once it seems. Today is different, it is a new day, a new season, another new beginning….I find tucked away in my morning devotional a wedding card I had purchased for a couple that was married last summer. Somehow I had never given it to them, but now the time seems so right…
Recently, I heard them share part of their story of how God had worked a miracle on their new journey. This was not their first marriage. Pain, trauma and abuses from the past came lurking into their new life. Scars from sexual abuse from when she was seven haunted her…..a secret so many girls and women have endured. She shared briefly about her assault on her life as an adult, as her young son witnessed the scene. It had left its toll on this slender, beautiful gal. My heart ached for her as I heard her speak, but was so proud she had won the victory. I watched her mom and dad as they sat in the pew in front of me…wondering how they endured. I watched her husband as he shared briefly his feelings of despair as he watched his wife battle depression, anxiety and her feelings of hopelessness. He was enduring his own thoughts of another possible failed marriage. Today, however I sense a lighter load and a new level in his worship with his bride standing beside him.
The journey of life sometimes bring us to hard places, crossroads, decisions of what is best. It is so comforting to know we are never alone. Learning to trust the one that has a plan for us, a plan larger than we have for ourselves. It brings my mind back to an apartment in the country I rented for a time. The landlord inquired one day if I had heard the peepers. I had never heard of such. My ears had chimed in to what I thought were frogs or something. I soon discovered the life of the peepers. I learned to listen for them and loved their sound. On another occasion he told me there would be a rose bush that would bring 300 pink roses to the property. I watched the tree bloom with the most beautiful pink roses. I loved flowers but rarely had them. I watched that rose tree bloom new roses daily. Sometime I want to go back and have my picture taken by that tree. I felt like the most precious woman alive as each day I was so blessed thru the blooming of the roses and the most beautiful green grass.
Today God, help me to remember the small miracles of the day, the beauty of the rose, the peepers, the green grass, the birds chirping, the morning dew, the night’s crisp air. Help me to be your hand extended to a hurting world. Use me beyond myself to be a light for you that someone may see and know you are the way. Use me to bring hope to someone that may have lost it yesterday. For you are good and you have a good plan.
Oh God, let my life today be like the beautiful pink rose, open once again to bloom where you have planted me.
God Bless Darlene and Angel for sharing!

Thank you for your prayers. We need your prayers and support right now. Today, a close brother and his wife started sponsoring two of our children. God is so good.
August 28, 2012. Have you ever compared your work to someone else’s and then boast of how good you are and how wonderful is your own work or possession? Sometimes a competitive spirit can attach itself to even a Christian. The result is that your boasting is not good for you or for the ones who observe you boasting. In the state where I live, boasting and extolling ourselves is to be expected. Sometimes it is over our work, our children, homes or schools. Most of the time, we mean no harm or malice. But our boasting can get out of hand. Rather, we should examine our own work and worth carefully, and seek to make it better without boasting. Galatians 6:4 (NASB) “But each one must examine his own work, and then he will have reason for boasting in regard to himself alone, and not in regard to another.”Ras Robinson Subscribe to “What the Lord Is Saying Today” August 28, 2012. In parts of the world and with other religions, some people set a table before their gods and some even place food out for their gods. It is not that way with My believers and followers. I set My table before them. I provide food and the power and energy to live and have their being to do My will. I provide the grace which bring blessings and power not of words only but of powerful salvations healings and deliverances. You and yours are never too far gone to eat at my table. My table is in the presence of your enemies. Eating at My table can change your life forever. Psalms 23:4-6 (NKJV) “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.” Bev Robinson Scroll down to see “Photo of the Day” from our ministry to children in the Philippines. August 28, 2012. As Christians we are to live a life of humility, just as Jesus our Lord lived and continues to live in humility before His Father. Throughout Scripture we see again and again how Jesus received humanity. He accepted His role and showed us the way to love and receive one another. In the name of love receive one another. The Lord says, “I lived in Egypt, the place of My forefather’s bondage. I loved them and I also loved the Samaritans, even though My brothers and sisters rejected them. I received and loved the prophets before Me. I loved the Pharisees and Sadducees as well. I love you. Receive one another.” Matthew 10:40-42 (NASB)”He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me. He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward; and he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward. And whoever in the name of a disciple gives to one of these little ones even a cup of cold water to drink, truly I say to you, he shall not lose his reward.” Kevin Robinson Should You be Taking Supplements? In 2007, the Nutrition Journal published a study which examined supplement users who consumed multiple supplements daily for more than 20 years. Over 50% of the individuals were consuming 10 to13 different products daily (multivitamin/mineral, B-complex, vitamin C, carotenoids, vitamin E, calcium with vitamin D, omega-3 fatty acids, flavonoids, lecithin, alfalfa, coenzyme Q10 with resveratrol, glucosamine, and a herbal immune supplement). Results? The blood-nutrient levels increased in dietary supplement use, and the greater the degree of supplement use was associated with more favorable concentrations of: Additionally, the American Association of Poison Control keeps detailed records of adverse reactions from natural supplements. As of 2010, there had never been any reported cases of death due to supplementation. To put this in perspective, the Journal of the American Medical Associationand the Center for Disease Control reported that properly prescribed prescription drugs account for100,000 deaths in the US annually and 180,000 deaths when accounted for improperly prescribed prescriptions, making it the third cause of death behind heart disease and cancer. Bottom line: Take your supplements. Just make sure you do it at the right doses. And, always be aware of allergies, sensitivities and other medications you might be taking at the same time.
